Its definitely an album of 2 halves and i much much prefer impossible princess, its no contest for me really. I probably agree KM94 had more single potential than IP even though i still think Limbo could have made a great single. I think what i always found a bit off about KM94 was it was a bit of crucial Kylie album as she was going for the big change and wanted to really pull away from the PWL sound but recording a film throughout this time got in the way of the promotion of the album which probably played a part in the album fading away faster than it should of. They got the first 2 singles bang on from the album but it went downhill rapidly after that when really there was a chance of having 2 further solid singles from the album that if pushed could have done ok and helped sell the album further.

I think Surrender had single potential too. It has some proper singing from Kylie, unlike some of the other dance tracks, which are a bit more spoken (or heavy on backing singers).

I always wanted time will pass you by to have been a single but i do get that surrender could also have worked showcasing her vocal although i think put yourself in my place did a good job of that.

New KM94 leak ‘Live For Your Loving’

Sounds unfinished but a bit of production brushing up could make it good, her vocals sound good on it.

Several years ago, this album was going to be reissued with additional content but the release never made the light of day which is such a shame. I think we’re due a further reissue of both Decon albums now and there must be lots of unreleased material just sitting there in the vaults.

There is a lot they could add as a bonus cd for a release and really make it worth buying again

 

I have so many bootlegs of recordings from the Deco days - there is literally TONS of material that has leaked from the KM94 and IP sessions, and I’m sure there is so much more too.

The way some song lengths on this album are longer than those on the extended versions of Disco and Tension! :lol: Could you imagine this album being released now? Confide in Me with a 2:50 tracking length?

Hard to believe its 30 years and while it's not my fave kylie album or even close some of the songs have aged very well.

It was such a huge and brave move from kylie at the time and no doubt a huge risk and it paid off as its a huge part of the reason we still have a very successful kylie to this very day.

So many mixed emotions about this album - I’d ‘grown up’ at that point so wasn’t as invested but of course bought everything, it was such a great start to the campaign with CIM, and PYIMP really drew me into the project - such a great track (and frustrating it stalled at #11 :drama: I was probably sure at the time that a Top 3 smash was incoming).

 

There is not a lot of love for WITF as the project was long over by that time but I personally love it.

 

Not my favourite album BUT such an important moment for Kylie breaking away from the PWL shackles and finding her freedom and leading us to the Kylie we have today :wub:

Definitely her best ever vocals on display.

I do agree vocally its probably her best album but musically no.
