All this exposure Blame It On Me is getting, a Radio hit :cheeseblock: Anymore did okay but deserved better Radio 2-wise, my fave from her of course  Dear Life is catchy, educate yourself! It's a shame her songs don't get any recurrent airplay, looking at the last time every single was played :(

Amazing to see it's doing SO well in radio at the moment. Won't have a big impact on Spotify, but it will add some iTunes sales and gets her name out there. Plus it also means she will get some good radio royalties for this track.
She’s doing Radio 2’s House Music this Thursday where she’ll have recorded a version of this with the BBC Concert Orchestra and there’ll be a classic track too yet to be disclosed

Thanks for the update. Sounds like something to look forward to!

Can the classic track please be anything but ITTY I'd love TAI or really anything not ITTY or NBTSA.

If the classic track is Northern Star WITH A f***ING ORCHESTRA!!!

I think it's fair to say that the classic track will be one of Northern Star, I Turn To You or Never Be The Same Again since those are conceivably the only solo tracks that could be called "classics" in a UK manner. I'm preparing för I Turn To You, which would at least sound gorgeous with orchestra backing. I guess there's also an off chance she does When You're Gone since it's probably the track she's featured on that still gets radio play.

Hope for FDOML

I think that's highly unlikely, as it's on a UK radio station and FDOML wasn't even released over there, let alone being seen as a 'classic'. Would be a good choice though!

I watched the Peteer Crouch TV Show last night, Melanie was a guest. They played a very short clip of BIOM.

Mel had to play table tennis with Jimmy Carr, they wasnt very good.

55 on UK iTunes

Holding up well for Mel

The glasto effect has a massive impact over the weekend and also new releases.

It seems so strange to me that Who I Am did pretty well on Spotify (for Mel's standards), yet didn't do much on iTunes, whereas this is doing very well on radio, pretty well on iTunes and nothing on Spotify.

If only all those things could be combined and she would be able to trouble the official top 100 again.

Tbf Who I Am got nowhere near the amount of radio support as Blame and that is what seems to be driving the downloads.

Didnt Who I am spend a good few days top 10 on itunes while Blame never made top 10. So Who I am might have sold more downloads any way just more bulked early on in its release.

Yeah, I know! That's what I meant, it's frustrating that not everything could be the same for one song- so good streams and good radio support, which will lead to more downloads. I am quite surprised to see this doing so well on radio, as Who I Am seems much more radio friendly to me.
