Notching up 70,000 chart sales to seize Number 1 from last week’s leader, DaBaby’s Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch, Rain On Me claims the biggest ever opening week streaming numbers by an all-female collaboration in the UK, with 8.1 million plays in seven days. It’s also Gaga’s first single to debut at Number 1.

From the OCC.

Even after the success of Shallow just a couple years ago this still doesn’t feel real. Lady Gaga is #1 with great sales! We really are living on Chromatica
I was NOT expecting 70k!!!!!! Even after the initial numbers on Spotify. So proud of them, they did not just that but everything else as well <3
9,898 pure sales. Iirc 'Stupid Love' did slightly more? I can't make me lie, it makes me sad that <10k is a monster pure sales figure these days :'(
Got to admit I was surprised to see it didn't manage over 10k given the Saturday midweeks were like 4k which would have been nearly entirely pure sales.
Don't remember seeing any pure sales info for 'Stupid Love' in its first week. Music week said it was "far and away the most-purchased track" and 'Blinding Lights' had managed 5,736 that week (I assume it was the second most purchased, I can't check because the OCC site has crashed!).
Could the album release maybe make the difference for a #1 debut in the US? Or has chart tracking week ended?

Tracking week has ended for everything apart from radio
