Not sure if it's been mentioned but 'Rain On Me' actually has the highest first week sales for a Gaga single! :o It beats the 61,448 that 'Born This Way' opened with, although that was a mid-week release so would obviously be higher if released at the start of the chart week.

Today's Top Hits is big but it's mainly for US audiences.

 

In the UK the most important playlist is Hot Hits UK which is the one you're talking about. It's still #19 but it updates sporadically/every few days!

Context: this essentially means she is certain to be #1 unless something really unexpected happens. Billboard are very predictable and don't like to make statements like this and then turn out to be "wrong" (even though they always word it as songs 'possibly' going to #1), historically I believe they've only ever made articles like this for songs which didn't end up at #1 that week twice: once for Juice WRLD's 'Lucid Dreams' due to a database error massively overestimating his streaming total, and once for Cardi B's 'I Like It' which only ended up missing out due to XXXTENTACION's sudden death.

Yes I think it’ll be #2 this week behind ROCKSTAR, it might cling on to #1 in the midweeks for a couple of days, depending on how much it’s streaming drops in today’s Spotify update.

I’m really hoping for another week at #1 in the UK but can see it being being at least top 3 for a good few weeks yet.

 

Hopefully it gets another week at #1 so that all her chart toppers here in the UK would’ve at least two weeks there.
