I thought this was a cover of The Original's 1995 number 2 hit I Luv U Baby.
Hope this climbs higher. Boo at the Scotts getting skipped but glad that DSN got skipped

It's not criminal like the Flowers cover at least. If I can ignore it being a cover it's actually quite nice.

 

But HOW of all the versions did the original Frankie Vallie one never chart :S

Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini (born October 21, 1995), known professionally as Doja Cat, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she signed a recording contract with RCA Records in 2014, subsequently releasing her debut extended play, Purrr!, and a series of singles, including "Go to Town" and "So High". In 2018, Doja Cat rose to prominence and internet fame with her single "Mooo!", which became a viral music video and ultimately "set the tone for her career".

 

Doja Cat released her debut studio album, Amala, in 2018 and a deluxe repackage in 2019, which included the single "Tia Tamera". In November 2019, Doja Cat released her second studio album, Hot Pink, which entered the chart in over 10 countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand.
