Sweater Weather equalling its pre-streaming era peak of #49, if correct for this week.

Strictly started on Friday and I’ve technically started my Xmas shopping (ordered a book for a mate on Amazon). With that in mind, any bets on which week Mariah and/or Wham! will enter the ACR-free top 50 this year?

Last year Mariah entered the “true” Top 50 on the chart revealed on 11 November and Wham! a week later. So consistent with that would be Mariah entering on 12 November and Wham! a week later this year.

 

I can’t imagine the Christmas songs being significantly more or less popular than last year - maybe slightly less as there seemed to be a bit of a pandemic comfort factor. And Wham! still tend to be a bit slower than Mariah out of the gate even though they were beating her through most of December last year.
