November 7, 2024Nov 7 Very late to mention but 'Bedtime Stories' turned 30 on 25th October! I genuinely think this album could take third place in my ranking of Madonna's albums, behind 'Confessions' and 'Ray of Light'. 'Bedtime Stories' is the perfect title for this album; there's so much warmth that comes from the melodies and production and I love the intimate, late-night feelings explored in the lyrics. It's my go-to album to unwind to or be reflective with. I think many of the strongest songs appearing later in the album has a positive effect on the listening experience too, like it keeps you engaged throughout as it gradually reveals itself. How well does the album rank against other Madonna releases for everyone else?
February 15Feb 15 This is exciting, but I am hoping it's not just vinyl and it ends up on streaming as well so those of us who haven't bought into the vinyl resurrection can listen too. I wonder if this is instead of the reissues she was going to do. Extra stuff like this is what I expected to be extra on those, so releasing it stand alone is a different move to what I expected. Or... It's vinyl for now and then they'll get included on CDs at a later date with the reissues?

Very much hope we get 'Something's Coming Over Me', the original 'Secret', as it's one of those songs that's been brought up by the fandom over the years but never leaked.
