I didn’t think I could love ‘safety net’ more than I already did but this interview teaching me that the "is it real this time or is it in my head?" line is a purposeful reference to ‘in my head’ may have just made it even better :heart:

Btw does anyone know if they're selling this in HMV? My mum went to Tesco earlier and said they were stocking new Sam Smith but she couldn't see this!

I pre ordered a copy from HMV and it’s been dispatched but it hasn’t arrived yet.

 

For what it’s worth she is #1 on iTunes albums so maybe she may sell quite a few digital copies this week the way Taylor would’ve done with folklore.

I guess my 'positions' CD single wasn't dispatched until Thursday so fingers crossed for it to still happen before the tracking week is over!

We should have a iTunes Store buying party! I’m tempted at getting one I think i will on Monday once I’ve seen how close the midweeks are.

 

Sams main strength is that the fanbase they have are physical buyers but that’s pretty much a downside at this current time because HMV likely is closing isn’t it so it’s how much online copies they can sell and digital copies.

 

Arianas a huge streaming figure which basically is like the charts right now but she does also do well on physical sales on albums but not as big as Sam I’d imagine. I’m optimistic that she’s got it though! She’ll be getting some strong streams this week.

If it’s steaming only, it could be a much closer battle tbh! :o

Hopefully 'motive' does get pushed as the 3rd single so all of them are guaranteed strong chart peaks anyway (and because it's a tune x)

I was in a rather small HMV on Friday and there were plenty of copies. My positions CD single still hasn't shipped though.

I feel like both 34+35 and Motive will end up being singles . Possibly Off The Table as well as it’s ft The Weekend who’s like the man of moment right now chart wise .

my hair and pov deserve single treatment but I know neither will get it :lol:
