Feel free to post your preferences and predictions in the meantime and I'll be back this evening (aiming for around 8.30pm) to post the remaining results. As a teaser, I can reveal the song at #11 has missed out on a top 10 placing by just one point!

Great to see Keane make it into the top ten from 2004, and that list of qualifiers from 2005 is excellent!

For reference, the OP has been edited to include all of the qualifiers as they are announced (good idea Addy ).

I'll be here forever listing the brilliant songs that have missed top 20 but 'Fill My Little World', 'She Moves...', 'Monster', 'America', 'Never Be Lonely', 'Put Your Records On', 'Dani California', 'You're All I Have', 'Pump It', 'Stoned In Love' to name some

Can't abide the Zutons 'Valerie' though. Mark and Amy improved it :kink:

Hope Cascada can make top 10. I have a strong feeling it won't though!!

Ah Gorillaz in 05! :(

Not really expecting the songs I gave high points to to go through this time. Arctics won't do as well as their 05 song even though I love it more, Crazy quite polarising on here. Would be great if Cassie & Beyonce are top 10. Not my genre but love both of those.

Nice to see Pink make the top 20 twice-surely at release one will qualify?

Shame to see so many great songs out already but then 2006 was such a great year, probably my favourite of the decade.

Kicking off the 2006 top 20 is The Killers with one of my favourites from them. All hope is not lost for the band though as they will reappear in the 2008 results on Wednesday. At #19 is yet another top 20 finish for Girls Aloud who now have two qualifiers in the shape of 'Sound Of The Underground' and 'Biology'. 'Something Kinda Ooooh' has never been one of their best in my eyes so I'm not surprised it misses out. :P They still have the ample opportunity to get more qualifiers during the remainder of these heat results.

The Arctic Monkeys land at #18 with 'When The Sun Goes Down' - their sole entry in this heat. They of course qualified in the 2005 heat with 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' so at least they are represented somehow. :teresa: Rihanna is at #17 with her Soft Cell-sampling 'SOS' which is 6 places and 49 points higher than 'Pon De Replay' in the 2005 heat. The Bajan queen still has one single left in this heat - will 'Unfaithful' make the cut?

16. Cassie – Me & U 158 points

15. Justin Timberlake – SexyBack 164 points

At #16 we lose Cassie's likely only entry across the decade with 'Me & U'. I'm shocked it has managed to finish this high to be honest. It's a nice slow jam but nothing outstanding in my opinion. I may actually prefer Le Youth's 'C O O L' which sampled this back in 2013. At #15 we lose the second of two entries from JT this year as 'SexyBack' finishes with 74 points more than 'My Love'. Personally I would have swapped their positions around.

Now this is a shocking exit. :o I thought 'Unfaithful' was a surefire qualifier before opening the voting thread and it was even looking comfortable in the top 10 as I was compiling the votes. :drama: For me it is one of the standouts from 2006 and the moment I became a massive fan of Rihanna (full-on stan mode came with 'Umbrella' which I hope qualifies tomorrow :kink:). So Rihanna's first three entries this decade have failed to qualify - will she have better luck over the next few days?

I'm literally listening to 'Unfaithful' on spotify as Rihanna gets posted  I don't think I rated it much at the time but it's actually a nice early ballad from her, better than the bland 'Take A Bow' anyway!

Cascada beating their EOY placing from 2006 (#15) here!

So we move from a song that I believe was too low to a song I think is far too high. :o I've never understood the love for this track - to the point I'd say it's her weakest single from Loose. Sadly the far superior 'All Good Thing (Come To An End)' fails to feature in this heat. This isn't the last we see of Nelly today as she still has her #1 single to come. Will it qualify for the final rate?

I'm pleased some of these didn't make it. The GA, Nelly F and Rihanna (Unfaithful) amongst their weakest. Ideally it'll be Cascada and PCD that stall outside the top 10...

Finishing in twelfth place is the biggest-selling single from 2006 as well as the longest-reigning chart topper of that year. I can't say I'm disappointed that it missed out. I find the song very dull these days after so many years of hearing it. I can't understand how it became so massive in 2006 but perhaps it was just so different to anything else at the time.

'All Good Things and 'Say It Right' >>>>>> 'Promiscuous'

Yes I see no flaws in this post.
