I don't think New Music Friday actually has that much impact outside of Friday.

Yeah, surely people don’t use that playlist 24/7? I cant see it being too much of an issue

Yeah, I don't think anyone listens after Friday do they.

11 on radio airplay is absolutely insane

if I hear any of yall complaining about radio support again. It's even doing decent on HHUK. Surprised with this amount of support to see it struggling to debut top 15.

Their airplay is always strong? Nobody (or I dont remember at least?) Complains about their radio support. (During LM5 it was different due to label politics etc..)

It's their streaming support which is questionable. They need to get on bigger international playlists like Todays Top Hits etc.. HHUK on it's own isn't enough. Being high on the Summer playlists is very nice but they're very weather dependant and rely so much on the time of year. For example one day could 27 degrees and the next day thunderstorm and showers so it's not as guaranteed/consistent as other hit specific playlists.

But anyway excited to see where this is in like 3 weeks! With promo/music video etc..

Rca liked a shady tweet that it's eligible to be added to Today's Top Hits based upon first day streams, I guess the biggest issue is their streams are only really coming from the UK?

Interesting. But yeah, probably!

Yeah i seen somewhere that RCA UK had liked a tweet about that a few days ago.

But i dont understand how they are expected to get more streams internationally without being on big playlists like that?

Are Little Mix still a big deal internationally though? Genuine question, I feel like they may have lost their support after LM5.

Also, I wonder if the amount of scrutiny that their Spotify performances comes under by Little Mix fans makes it seem like they're performing worse than they actually are. Like, do other UK acts have similar Spotify activity but it's just not noticed as much because there isn't a fanbase examining it? This isn't a criticism of LM fans by the way, it's inevitable of any fanbase.

Honestly their support on international playlists on Spotify is pretty good right now. Today’s Top Hits, as far as a pop song goes, is probably the only one or one of the only ones, missing.

And yeah a lot of their international fanbase still checked for Bounce Back but that one was such a misfire that I’m inclined to say it was when they lost the interest of most casuals.

I’m betting cancelling the tour in Australia/NZ had a cost for them there as well.

Since the moved to RCA, they don't get pushed internationally anymore. That's why I was always confused people complained about Syco so much. Cause they actually did a lot better job with time IMO.

I wouldn't say their international support is good. It isn't even in Hot Hits Australia which is probably their second biggest market in terms of popularity? Not sure which other Hot Hits it should be in though.

It's in some random decent playlists like "It's a Hit" though so I guess it could be worse.

Yeah, the fact they're not even on the staple Philippines/Aus/Nz playlists anymore which they always used to be. They haven't been on any of them since they left Syco.

Yeah true, im sure WLM was added to HH Australia and the girls even had the cover. Now looking back, Syco was defintely the better label in terms of streaming pushes etc.

I knew the stans would regret it when they left Syco. RCA have been far worse IMO.

(Btw Hot Hits had Woman like Me on the playlist for 2ish weeks and it finally cracked the top 10 on Aus Spot and they replaced it with Joan of Arc. It was soooo odd)

Syco were legit great to Little Mix.

The reason why Little Mix don't get Today Hot Hits is because it's not doing anything anywhere other than UK. It needs to be on Hot Hits around Europe and that would eventually lead to TTH.

Rca have legit ruined so many artists

look at the state of miley

I was going to say, I wasn't looking forward to this new record deal, RCA are notoriously rubbish.

Look at the mess that they've made with Normani AND Tinashe... all of their budget is going on Doja Cat right now. Miley's an Xtina's new eras have been a mess, they don't know what to do with Kelly Clarkson, Kesha or Avril Lavigne. Alicia Keys since switching to RCA has fizzled out despite being a MASSIVE name at her previous label.

Oh! Did anyone else know that Usher had his first album in 4 years out in August?

No?

Why's that?
