Not particularly huge on Piece Of Me! :( I think lyrically it's great and it's another statement to those that hounded her, so I appreciate that, but as a song it annoys me and it's not the most listenable for me. Oop-

I appreciate what Britney had to say with this lyrically - but sonically it has never clicked with me :(

Ever since first listen this struck out to me as a single, so I was really not surprised when this was announced as the 2nd single. It's the most "pure pop" song from the album. Robyn's backing vocals *.*

 

Although other songs have overtaken it in my affections since, this is still perfect.

You want a piece of me? "Piece of Me" doesn't get all and it's interesting to see how much Britney's private life is shown throughout the lyrics.

Totally didn't know about the Robyn thing (or i've learnt it and then forgotten about it)! :o

 

Radar is :neyde: I prefer the Circus version :neyde:

 

I think it's her vocals that are a bit off putting about this, but it's a nice enough song. :neyde:

And here we have Radar, found in its natural habitat - the Blackout album :dogglasses:

 

I think this worked fine as a solid album track, it didn't need to be a single (and certainly not from the NEXT album :lol:)

I've always found 'Radar' so nothingy :( it really didn't need to be on TWO of her albums but I understand it was a contractual obligation.

'Radar' should've been a 'Blackout' single, imo. I feel the performance of 'Break The Ice' prevented it from being one. It's not my personal (or anywhere near) favourite of mine, but it's such a good song and I'd have appreciated it more if it wasn't tacked onto 'Circus' (and later used as a single to fulfill contract agreements or whatever :drama:)

 

It's just much more natural on Blackout.

"Radar" is great and I get it tends to have a negative response after its inclusion on Circus. I don't know why, but I have a love/hate relation because of it. It really fits on Blackout, but it doesn't on Circus.

And now we have HER BEST SINGLE (on average for me over the past decades) and an ICONIC MUSIC VIDEO TOO. This is far too underappreciated. We stan an underrated BEAUTY.

 

One of her boldest most interesting songs YOU NEED TO APPRECIATE.

 

I WILL NOT TAKE ANY HATE FOR THIS!
