July 28, 20204 yr How do credits work. Would Levitating need to be charting now for it to not credit Madonna or what. When LM have released post album singles in the past with added features they usually credit the artists. (Also watch this push Hallucinate out bc of the three track rule) Can’t believe the Madonna feature was actually true though! I’m stunned at how Duas actually managed to secure that. M must really be a fan of hers.
July 28, 20204 yr Author I *think* if this new version is the one being pushed as a single, she'll be credited. If it's being classed as a remix, she won't, even if it turns out to be the most popular version. But who knows when it comes to the OCC. They'll just make it up as they go along.
July 29, 20204 yr The song existed before Madonna so it's likely it'll just be credited to Dua, but they're inconsistent with that - there are examples of both! For example, they didn't credit Demi or Shawn on their single mixes of their respective Vamps features, yet credited Omi on I Found a Girl under the exact same circumstance! :lol:
