looks like a proper album streaming chart without counting playlists

cos there is no Mabel even in the top 1500 and no Becky Hill

and seems like they also count Greatest Hits properly as Elton John-Diamonds is only at 300-ish

 

the list kinda makes sense with Pop Smoke #1 and Juice Wrld #2, Harry and Gaga top 10...

some outlier too like a Baby Lullabies album at #14 :D

Kinda glad the Kygo/Tina track isn’t doing well. Just seems a bit pointless and a weaker version of an already very popular track. Higher Love was helped by the fact the general UK audience weren’t familiar with Whitney’s original version. If it was an unknown Tina track, this might be a bit more exciting, if you ignore the predictable Kygo production.

 

So pleased Head & Heart has blown up so fast. Seen so many predictions on here that Rockstar would have a 10+ week run, then people expecting Savage Love to have a Despacito kinda run, only to have a new surprise keep popping up. Just shows how hard it is to predict this stuff when you don’t know what is around the corner.

Greece has overtaken Popstar on Spotify now too.

Head & Heart is now the first multi-day Spotify #1 other than Rockstar in more than 2 months.

well, Pop Smoke releasing a Deluxe version of his album with 15 new songs added

10 days after the original release on a Monday evening doesn't make much sense to me either

I’ve read that they did it because yesterday would’ve been his 21st birthday.

 

not sure why the Headie x Drake song is midweek though.

The Pop Smoke deluxe version was released yesterday to mark what would have been his 21st birthday. Why Headie One/Drake came out on a Monday is a bit more of a mystery. edit: what Dan said x

 

Headie debuting at #37 on Spotify from just 3 hours of streams anyway so should be very high up tomorrow! Maybe we will be getting another Drake #1 after all xx (though I expect it's too late for this week and unsure if interest will be sustained beyond the initial novelty of Drake doing a UK drill collab).

 

'GREECE' also up to #11 while 'POPSTAR' holds at #15. Only 4 of the Pop Smoke deluxe songs have debuted top 200 (the highest at #130) but this release has also pushed up all the songs from the standard edition.

 

Another new entry at #149 for 'Entanglements' by August Alsina and Rick Ross (#69 on Apple), presumably related to the whole drama with August and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The midweek release would've been understandable if it was Drake & Headie One but not other way around really as Headie One isn't that established act anywhere apart from drill scene in the UK and it is working against it there too.
