Posted July 8, 20205 yr Channel 4 have commissioned a TV series based on the *iconic* series of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared short films - it's the perfect time to watch them all again! I'm so hyped for new material from them 9C_HReR_McQ
July 8, 20205 yr A TV show? I have no idea how those videos would translate unless they make a genuine kids show with those characters?
July 8, 20205 yr These things were absolutely terrifying yet weirdly watchable at the same time. I'm kind of intrigued how it would work.
July 9, 20205 yr ICONIC! We really are in a time that's changing all the time  How are they going to make this into a TV show though?!
July 9, 20205 yr Author Apparently the pilot was shown at a film festival last year, and it's not toned down at all! :D EDIT: here it is, but in poor quality BOpLvzb7jzI
July 9, 20205 yr It's interesting as the creators did get mainstream commissioning offers for future episodes at the time but they turned it down and used Kickstarter as they wanted more creative freedom, and indeed that's one of the key themes of the show with how it criticises the over-commercialisation of children's TV (at least according to the various theories I've seen) so I do wonder how this would work. I guess they must have a clear plan for this though.
August 31, 20204 yr Woo  Just noticed all the songs are on Spotify  Someone should send that to BJSC. Or maybe The Creativity Song
