Juice WRLD looks certain to be number 1 on Friday now.

I wonder if Head and Heart can sneak top 3 by the end of the week. It should at least be top 4 by Friday

If The Streets were No.1 I could add him, (them?), to my UK Chart Lists.

I'm never sure, if The Streets is one Person, or are a Group. Just like some

People thought that, Simply Red, was a Solo Act, because Mick Hucknall was

the only Person on that Group's Album Covers. (Which would make Phil Collins

a Group, if we were to use that logic, with his Album Covers).

 

However, I can't do a thing, (for UK Chart Trivia), if Juice Wrld is No.1. He's had

3 previous UK Hit Albums, and none of them reached the Top 10 - No.25, No.23

and No.12. He's had 16 Top 100 Singles. Only 2 made the Top 10 - 'Lucid Dreams'

- No.10 in 2018, and 'Godzilla' - No.1 in January. But, he was only the 'Featured'

Artist on that. I suspect that it being an Eminem Single, was why it was a No.1.

 

If Juice Wrld does get this Week's No.1 Album, I can't see it staying there for a 2nd Week.

It may not even be inside the UK Top 10, by Week 2. I wonder if 2020, is the Year, that the

most UK No.1 Albums, fall out of the Top 10, after just 1 or 2 Weeks? There is a lot of fuss,

(OCC), when an Act reaches No.1, in the Album Chart. But, a lot of those Acts, fall down the

Chart very fast. They are not really big Acts, at all. They are just able, to outsell, every other

Album, for only 7 Days...

I think The Streets won a BRIT Award I can't remember which year it was, but I think it was for Solo Artist, you might have to dig around the BRIT Awards Archives for that one, just to make sure.

I'd put him in the same category as Florence + The Machine of solo acts with a touring band, judging by the wikipedia page for this album none of the other 'band members' really had anything to do with it.

Florence is usually up in the female categories at the BRITS isn’t she that’s how I base her but The Streets I always seen a band!

unlike Florence, at least in the beginning it was the project of Florence Welch + Isabella Summers, the latter being "the machine" :) so at least in the beginning it was 100% a band... Summers is no longer with the bands (I think) so not sure anymore...

Sorry but this is extremely misguided on both counts - 'Godzilla' wasn't even being pushed as a single at first, the reason it blew up so much was definitely Juice rather than Eminem, as it was the first new material released from him following his death. It also massively, massively outperformed everything else from Eminem's album which had a pretty mediocre performance overall outside of that one song.

 

And there is absolutely zero chance he'll fall out of the top 10 in his second week, the type of acts who have been doing that are those who are reliant on physical sales from their fanbase in the first week, Juice WRLD is the polar opposite of that. Pop Smoke had even less prior success than Juice WRLD in the UK and his album is going to be staying top 5 if not top 3 in its second week, I'd be massively shocked if Juice can't manage at least a second week in the top 5 as well, his streaming numbers have been holding up very well so far this week. I don't think it's impossible at all that he could even stay #1 albeit with rather low sales (the biggest new releases look to be Boyzlife (lol), Ellie Goulding and Lianne La Havas, none of which exactly scream certain #1).

Odd that Boyzlife are releasing an album now and not at Christmas or Mother's Day.
