This is the first series I've watched past the first episode in years and it is pretty good so far. The challenges and humour has been great and they're a good group of people

I'm really liking the castle setup and I think the group is good so far! The two newies in tomorrow I'm not sure about at all...

It’s early days but apart from Beverley the women have been a bit quiet and a tad on the dull side so far hopefully that changes .

I think the majority of them are kind of fading into the background a bit - like they're all 'there', but just not commanding the screen as much as Bev, Vernon, Shane and Jordan. Hopefully some of them are given trials to do soon so we see them a bit more, but feel like it's going to be an alternation of those four for some time?

I don’t think the rest have big enough personalities which is what I worried about when the cast was revealed. You need more ‘fun, bubbly’ personalities, I think on the whole they’re largely just ‘nice’. Jessica’s getting a lot of ‘diary room’ moments but I never see her in the rest of it :lol:

 

I don’t know much about the newbies (have never heard of the woman) so not sure what they’ll be like...

Tonight’s show was better in that we seen Hollie (MBE) and Giovanna tonight as they had the castle coin challenge and then we seen Jessica more tonight too. So we are seeing more of people now.

 

I’d say AJ was probably the least shown person tonight.

Yeah the editing was better in the 2nd ep with Giovanna and Hollie Arnold MBE getting some screentime. It felt a lot more balanced that Monday's show. Think the show would be better if it was longer though given how much time is given to the Trials (I know it does go to an hour and a half at times/ when the eliminations start).

 

 

I did like how Giovanna and Hollie both looked at each other and immediately said "Jordan" for who said "I wet the bed until I was 15"! :lol: I expected them to be pretty bland but it was actually quite nice to see some more them tonight.

 

They all did well but Beverley especially smashed that challenge! Just got on with it, no bother.

Initially I thought with Beverley being a vegan she might get off lightly in that eating challenge but if anything her food actually looked worse and it seemed like she had to eat more of it too. 5 cubes of that fermented tofu :puke2:

I'm finding it as dull as dishwater so far.

 

Beverley's lovely tho, I really like her :wub:

Giovanna, Holly and Ruthie could all honestly pass as the same person they all look strangely similar :lol:

"It's going to make you a f***ing megastar" :lol:

 

I reckon Jordan could be up for Grimshaw's slot if he leaves anytime soon

They really need to put a rule in that whoever gets voted for a trail is exempt in the following trail as it’s so boring seeing the same person do most of the trails every year !

You can’t tell me anyone was expecting conflict with this cast??

I think the only conflict which would occur is about food - however as they've been getting a big amount of stars everyone has been fed.

 

Can Imagine Shane and Vernon getting Hangry :D

 

I guess if Jordan mucks up tomorrow, and the next day it could lead to Hangry based conflicts

I've heard they edit out arguments that happen now which is a shame, not that I enjoy watching people argue all the time but it adds a different perspective to the positivity of it all.

There’s no way they would do that they want viewers plus the rest wouldn’t make sense if they did try at as there would be a post conflict atmosphere.

 

I’m enjoying Jordan and Shane was funny tonight with him farting and scaring Jordan. The rest are background as they are generally quieter.

 

Beverley and Jordan will be top 2!
