I originally had 'Just Say' as 1st option and 'Jealous' as 2nd option with them switched for a future Free Choice round (Jealous being a recogniseable hit would probably fare better amongst the other smashes that get sent that round I think).. well that was my thinking anyway?

I've kinda settled on the fact that we will be bottom half of the table for this round. But which song shall we go with? Anything is available and I had 'Jealous' & 'Flame' in my notes.

 

But I'm willing to look at ANYTHING that's not 'All Hands On Deck', 'All My Friends' & '2 On' (I need these for later!)

I would love something off her recent album - Cash Race, Save Room For Us or Stormy Weather could be a great discovery for some!

Which one of those, as I was wanting to send something more risky, but potentially be a discovery for people (especially after seeing her smash and exceed my expectations the last 2 rounds!)

 

Do I listen to Bre's option and send Stormy Weather? (If he had that reaction, maybe some other members who he shares similar tastes with that votes, will too? :thinking:

Flame would be a lovely choice if you don't see yourself having the opportunity to use it at another point! Although I fear that some (wrong) people would consider it to be bland/boring?

 

Jealous Remix seems like it could have wider potential? I always much preferred the solo version, but I did like the remix too.

 

I heard Cash Race the other day when Spotify was serving up random songs after a playlist finished, and I thought it was great - but would it struggle in what could be a singles heavy round? Could it be used in a future round, or would this free choice round be its last opportunity?

 

I think Jealous Remix is probably your safest choice for a song doing well, but I would also say that you should follow your heart and send what you feel you'd find to be most satisfying for you. :cool:

I would go for Flame but would also back Stormy Weather

I think I'm gonna rule out Jealous tbh. It's not really representative of who Tinashe is as an artist, so I think I'm going to send one of her tracks from Songs For You as a risk, in the hopes that people discover it and will get something from this contest!

Going to drop my favourites given it's a free-for-all for this round; not thinking about how they'd perform, the songs I love from her/those that represent her: 2 On, Feels Like Vegas, Vulnerable, All Hands on Deck, Ghetto Boy, Bet, Feelings, Story Of Us, Touch and Go, Save Room For Us, Cash Race, Perfect Crime, Stormy Weather.

 

Out of Flame and Jealous Remix, I prefer the Jealous remix but neither are quintessential Tinashe!

I did say I'm going to use Ghetto Boy at some stage after not using it for round 2 so it's an option here, but I think I'd prefer that in a specific future round!

Think I'm gonna go for some SFY recognition for this round! Adore Touch & Go :wub: but I think one of Cash Race or Stormy Weather have potential to be more instant discoveries for non-fans, I think!

Stormy Weather didn't do great, but it's OK. We could afford/I expected that!

Honestly, open to suggestions! The field is WIDE open. Something from 'Aquarius' would be nice at this point, but I kinda want 'Ghetto Boy' to have a moment (it'll probably backfire, but at least I sent a personal fave)

 

If none of these are chosen, there is another round in which one of these will get to shine!

I think FLV would suit the later theme better than GB. In fact any of the Aquarius tracks do (along with Cash Race & Know Better). :thinking:
