Too Much would be a great pick to represent Dedicated though (hope it's not the last chance to send something from that album, Want You In My Room is right there!!)

 

'Higher' and 'Want You In My Room' are (alongside 'Cut To The Feeling') my favourite songs of hers from the last few years and are seemingly both eligible (I thought 'Want You In My Room' was a single of some sort but Wikipedia doesn't call it one) so I'd like to suggest them! ^_^

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I think Wikipedia can be a bit odd sometimes with how it classifies what is and isn't a single for some of the, shall we say... "less commercially successful" artists! Personally I think of Want You in My Room as being the last single from Dedicated, what with it having a music video. It feels like more than an album track to me anyway. Are there any more opinions on this?

 

At some point in this contest I'm keen to try and show a different side to Carly - because her recent discography does showcase that she's not just about bops - and it feels like this round is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate that!

 

I do love Higher, yet I feel like it's kind of more of the same in terms of what has been sent so far. I certainly appreciate the suggestion and will consider it!

 

If we're wanting something from EMOTION Side B, personally I prefer George's suggestion of Fever. :wub:

 

Then there is this complete gem of a track from Dedicated Side B, that is one of my favourite songs of 2020. As far as I'm concerned it's a career highlight - Comeback:

 

 

... which really fits my desire to want to expose people to something different from Carly (I feel like Fever would do a good job of that too though). Comeback is so beautiful, heartfelt, emotional, touching. Just brilliant. :wub: It's a duet that is also written/produced by Jack Antonoff (Bleachers is his stage name). He has worked on some great songs by Taylor Swift, Lorde and Lana Del Rey, as well as two of Troye Sivan's best songs, Heaven and Strawberries & Cigarettes. Comeback is in a fairly similar lane to those two songs. Incidentally Jack also produced Want You in My Room.

 

(Also I'm not overlooking the suggestion of Solo, another fantastic moment on Dedicated Side B :heart: )

 

#nospoilersplease but this round isn't necessarily the last opportunity for some of these songs to be sent, so whatever we do go with in Round 5... I'm sure there's at least one or two more songs mentioned so far that have potential to be used in forthcoming rounds.
