To me it feels like Say Something has become a lead single like Word Is Out and Into The Blue: nobody really loves or hates it. Does anybody outside of Kylie's fanbase even care about this song?

 

Have to say I agree - I don’t dislike it at all but there is no wow moment for me, it’s a decent pop song but so inferior to the last lead ‘Dancing’ - I’m pleased the record company are pushing for it to be a hit though.

As a lead single Kylie has equally offered better and worse than Say Something.

Say something has grown on me. I wasn’t sure about it at first but I think it’s a good lead single. The fact it hasn’t charted is not because it isn’t good but due to lack of promotion. 15/20 years ago it would have easily been a T5 hit but things have changed.

I'll just be glad if it can get a top 75 peak, to be honest. I think a lottery win is probably more likely than getting it into the top 40.

Have to say I agree - I think she could shift around 3-4k of the vinyl single to UK fans plus streams etc., - I think this could make it to around 55-60. Would obviously love it to be higher but T75 would be an achievement tbh.

Cole has a good reach on streaming and clubs. Not massive but more than someone like Initial Talk.

The Syn Cole version is my go to on streaming - I love it, personally has elevated the song for me a lot. Guess that’s the good thing about remixes as it can make the song appeal to a wider audience.

Remixes can often do that and change a song for the better or worse.

On Kylie’s site it just says ‘Limited vinyl single’ - they could have produced 10,000 copies though :lol: I’m glad it didn’t sell out in seconds and is getting a chance to pick up some decent sales

If they make more available, why not if they keep selling.

I think they would shift 2-3k to UK fans but like always a lot will go overseas. It is expensive (£11+ with postage) but seems to be the standard for vinyl singles now :nocheer:

There are lots of UK fans that have pre-ordered looking at all the Kylie collector accounts on Insta and SayHey - hopefully it will be able to shift 5k here, amazing if they can manage it (And might lead to us getting further physical releases!)
