Are those sales confirmed? That would mean thats all the pre-orders now counted in, surely she will sell at least another 1k for the week which would put her on close to 6.5k, i hope its enough for top 10 as last week number 10 sold about 4.5k.
Really hope it sticks top 10 but I see another Emma situation happening. Either way itll be her best since 2003.
It’s bloody going to end up at 11 isn’t it !!!
She chose a bad week to release on... Even if she manages 6k and up she will end up outside the top 10... Sad
Her sales will be higher than Emmas and im not saying that in a competitive way against Emma but the chart position may be the same or lower.
Amanda Holden will prob overtake her and maybe lana del rey but she should stay ahead of roisin murphy and 21 savage.

Jay can confirm but he did some calculations and she is looking like ending up at 11 by 300 copies. Streaming is getting slowly added in and 3 albums behind her will all do 8k+ when all their predominantly streaming sales are added in. That would put her at 10 then Amanda is 1k behind but closed the gap by 500 yesterday, so by Wednesday but definitely Thursday she will be ahead if all stays as is.

Tomorrow will be more revealing as it will show if anyone's sales are trending up or down.

She could well do over 7k and finish at 11. One really shocking thing is Amanda is doing slightly better on streams than Melanie.

This is all assuming everyone sells the same for the rest of the week as they sold yesterday, there might be unreported sales but no way to know that.

Not to diss this Amanda person and her Stage-ish tunes, but even if Melanie C gets only a Top20, I’m sure Melanie C the Album will have a longer live: more singles, more gigs, more festivals and interest from all around the world.

By the way, that Amanda person is above the Queen in many charts... that says a lot about the world we are living 😂

Wow was expecting Holden to be top 5 with having the two biggest promo slots of the weekend! Melanie needs to be getting on every single day time show this week, there is only 400 copies between her and #4, while aparaently 1.1k between her and #11. She needs to do anything she can to keep the lead. Quick do some scandalous Geri esque promo stunt!!
Im starting to think number 11 is coming but i hope she pulls out all the stops that she can, a price reduction maybe tomorrow or Wednesday might help.
I just feel #11 coming. Why does this ALWAYS happen with 90’s pop girls, it’s like they want to miss the top 10 :’)

I love the "positivity" in this thread. :teresa:

Top 10 is very much doable. I can't see 4 albums climbing above her.

The problem is streaming let's break it down...

#7 = Melanie C (5,314 sales)

- physicals = 4,608

- downloads = 563

- streaming = 143

Then you have 3 albums at #10, #11, #13 who all get big streams which will continue to be added through the week:

#10 = 21 Savage and Metro Booming (3,247 sales)

- physicals = 0

- downloads = 67

- streaming = 3,180

#11 = Pop Smoke (2,993 sales)

- physicals = 40

- downloads = 33

- streaming = 2,920

#13 = Bryson Tiller (2,555 sales)

- physicals = 0

- downloads = 117

- streaming = 2,438

Their streams are huge and will continue to be huge giving them a big boost up the charts while Melanie is mainly a physical seller and they won't continue to sell at this rate. I've said it so many times streaming is an utter farce, I mean it allows an album with 0 physical sales to chart wtf?

And those are only 2 days worth of streaming for those 3 albums as streaming sales are 1 day behind. So they are all looking at 8k+ for the week.

Amanda sold 500 copies more than Melanie yesterday and is 1k behind with 4 days of sales to go and is even doing slightly better on streaming.
