#34 isn't so bad for her on 2nd week. Problem is her sales from her webstore will be non existent this week bar a handful as that is where all big fans order from and they will have got the album first week. This week should be all about itunes, Amazon, streaming and supermarkets, that is where she will pick up casual sales and streams and that is where she needs to be pushing hard right now.
Down to #34 on iTunes let’s see if Sunday Brunch helps at all.

It's up to #20 right now. :cheer:

Good its holding up in the downloads, i know it doesnt equate to much but at least a few people are still buying the album, as i said before if she stayed top 75 this week it would be a great bonus.

I think she'd need to sell around 1,400 copies to stay Top 75 in week 2. Up to 1,200 copies for Top 100.

I really hope she stays Top 100. It's kind of sad that a second week Top 100 would be quite an achievement in this day and age lol. I miss when albums experienced more graceful falls in the charts (even This Time managed a second week Top 100...), but since streaming became popular it's led to some really harsh falls for albums reliant on pure sales.

Since 2005, the second week positions for solo albums have been...

24-53 - Beautiful Intentions (fell 29 places)

65-75 - Life in Mono (10 places)

57-97 - This Time (40 places)

45-101 - The Sea (56 places)

41-115 - Passion (74 places)

11-121 - My Happy Place (110 places)

25-146 - Version of Me (121 places)

Stages was out of the Top 200 in week 2, meaning it fell over 151 places, and of course L.A. State of Mind didn't even chart in week 1

Ya i hate the 2nd week fall for the albums but its become so common with so many artists now, i know the chances of top 75 are slim but im staying hopefully it will at least stay top 100. I was sure My Happy Place stayed top 100 on week 2 but i must be thinking of the midweeks.

90s queens Emma and Louise both fell 11-121 with their albums unfortunately  Emma's album was #88 in one of the midweek updates in week 2.

Omg #101 for The Sea bloody typical

I'll never get over The Sea charting at #45 it deserved to be a top 40 at the very minimum!

In and out of love is #97 on UK downloads singles chart

She is the Charting* Queen, young and sweet, not even 47 ooh yeah.

* Not to be confused with Sharting, which is a whole other issue especially if you're wearing white

Wasn't expecting that to make the download chart! Nice that she's had four songs from this era manage to chart in the Top 100 (if only she could manage to chart in the main top 100 lol)

Melanie C is #102 in the mids, which is awful. When streaming keeps being added through the week this will struggle to stay top 200.

I feel bad for Mel as this was her money she'd invested into a project that she clearly had a lot of passion in and the returns just aren't there no matter how hard she tries.

To be honest with you, that has been Mel's career since Reason. She always poured her millions into her career in the hopes that she can recover some of it or all during the promo across the world.

I bet she looses money every time, although she is a multi-millionaire, of course she is fine...

If she wants a better second week, she needs to really promote this week and do reductions of the costs of purchasing the album. In the end, it could actually be a bit more of income as more people would be enticed to purchase.

Unfortunately, no promo, no radio support and no streaminh platforms support, means she is invisible this week...

This week has been pretty shit on her front. She has sold 11 cassettes in the last 4 days, it obviously isn't shifting when they are generally an easy sale. Stick it to 5 quid on her webstore and have her listening to it on a retro Walkman with one of her spice girls outfits on with her saying something like it might be 2020 but I'm still a 90s girl at heart.
