50. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love 7.52

UK peak: #1

Heat Position: #6 (2007)

Highest score: 11 (Jay)

Lowest score: -1 (Chez Wombat)

Kicking off the top 50 is Leona Lewis' monster smash hit from 2007, 'Bleeding Love'. The Ryan Tedder-penned ballad was released in the UK in October 2007 and sold over 200,000 copies in its first week to land at #1. It spent 7 weeks atop the UK Singles Chart and eventually charted at #1 in over 30 countries around the world - including a 4-week stay there in the US. Leona managed to feature twice in the final rate - her other appearance was at #58 with 'Run'. Other than Jay's 11, 'Bleeding Love' picked up ten 10's! It also received only five scores below 5. Queen!

49. Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone 7.52

UK peak: #1

Heat Position: #4 (2009)

Highest score: 11 (gavindeejay, Jason, dan-G)

Lowest score: 2 (Scene)

Next up is Calvin Harris' sole appearance in the final rate - which is rather shocking to me since I believe he had far better 00's singles than 'I'm Not Alone' as my score suggests. :kink: The song was released in April 2009 as the lead single to Calvin's sophomore album Ready For The Weekend. It became his second UK number one after his feature on the previous year's 'Dance wiv Me' and his first number one as a lead artist. I reckon if there was a 2010's equivalent of this rate then Calvin would have more entries in the final rate and they would rank higher. That said, it's a shame 'Merrymaking At My Place' and 'The Girls' didn't get as far as this track... if they even qualified for the 2007 heat at all.

Good to see Calvin Harris top 50 but still surprised I'm Not Alone was his only one appearance in the final rate.

48 Alphabeat - Fascination 7.55

UK peak: #6

Heat Position: #3 (2008)

Highest score: 11 (Jonjo, SevenSeize)

Lowest score: 1 (RabbitFurCoat)

At #48 is "Fascination", the first single released by Danish pop group Alphabeat. It was first released in Denmark on 6 June 2006, followed by a worldwide release on 16 May 2008. The song reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart.

It has to be one of the songs with lowest UK peak to finish as high as #48 on this countdown. Very deserving place since it is an amazing pop track.

47 Roger Sanchez - Another Chance 7.59

UK peak: #1

Heat Position: #3 (2001)

Highest score: 11 (Jester)

Lowest score: 2 (troublepink)

"Another Chance" is a song co-written and recorded by American house producer and DJ Roger Sanchez. The song is based on a sample from "I Won't Hold You Back" by Toto. It was released in February 2001 and became a worldwide hit, peaking at number one in the United Kingdom and reaching the top 10 in Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Spain. Also the music video is really one of the best dance music videos ...it's like a short film.

I wish it had a chance to go Top 40 considering it did so well in the Heats where it finished #3 with 285 points (#2 has 290 points and #1 accumulated 308 points)

46. Britney Spears - Oops!... I Did It Again 7.61

UK peak: #1

Heat Position: #3 (2000)

Highest score: 10 (Rob S, Addy, Nina West, Nick F1, Jonjo, Chemistry, Sarah, Jay, HausofGhibli,Ultra)

Lowest score: 0 (Shoat)

At 46 we have the fourth of six appearances from Britney Spears in this countdown: her two In The Zone number ones are still to come! 'Oops!...' was released in May 2000 and became Britney's third UK number one. It has gone down in history as one of the most iconic pop songs ever let alone one of Britney's most iconic singles. The title line, the red PVC in the video, the Titanic reference... a perfectly crafted single campaign. I am shocked it has finished as low as #46 here since Britney has a massive following on this site and it is generally regarded as one of her best. That said, there are a lot of amazing tracks ahead of this.

45. Take That - Rule The World 7.64

UK peak: #2

Heat Position: #11 (2007)

Highest score: 11 (Dannyboy)

Lowest score: 2.5 (Rush)

Here we lose the only entry from Take That in this countdown despite the fact they returned to incredible success and acclaim in this decade. 'Rule the World' is *that* song which you would expect to have been a massive #1 but wasn't. Leona's 'Bleeding Love' prevented it from reaching #1 back in October-November 2007 and therefore it had to settle for #2, where it stayed for four weeks. It's a different story in this countdown as we see it outperforms 'Bleeding Love' by 5 positions. This is the second-highest single which finished eleventh in the heats round - Rihanna's 'Don't Stop the Music' is still to come!

OIDIA deserved Top 40 :nocheer:

I think people were overloaded with Britney in the final but then so Sugababes have the same amount of songs and they're doing pretty well!!!

44 Nelly Furtado - Maneater 7.69

UK peak: #1

Heat Position: #2 (2006)

Highest score: 10 (Nina West, NickF1, Bjork, Sarah, Rush, UltraFolklore)

Lowest score: 0 (Jason, King Rollo)

"Maneater" is a lead single by Canadian singer Nelly Furtado from her third studio album Loose (2006). The song's musical style and production were inspired by the Hall & Oates song of the same name. The single became a hit everywhere in Europe and peaked #1 in UK while in US it was a moderate hit peaking at #16. She still has 'Say It Right' coming up later which obviously it's her best song :kink:.

But still 'Maneter' managed to scoop six scores of 10's and also received two 0's :nocheer:

43 Beyonce Feat. Jay-Z - Crazy In Love 7.69

UK peak: #1

Heat Position: #6 (2003)

Highest score: 10 (Addy!, Nina West, T Boy, *dandy, Chemistry, chrissmith276, Jay, UltraFolklore)

Lowest score: -1 (NickF1)

"Crazy in Love" is a lead single recorded by Beyoncé featuring now her husband Jay-Z and it's taken from Beyoncé's debut solo studio album Dangerously in Love (2003). It was a number-one hit in both the United States and United Kingdom, and reached the top ten almost in every country it charted.

This is also her biggest song (including Destiny's Child) in this countdown Kelly Rowland has still a song to be announced!!! :kink:.

It also managed to score eight 10's but what's up with that -1 NickF1?!!!
