Just checked Hot Hits for the first time in a while - 14 of the first 25 tracks are on ACR :lol:

 

Yeah the turn over rate on that playlist is p!ss poor, especially considering how much of an effect it can have overall

Pop is definitely struggling, guess the young generations are more into rap/hip hop than pop

It's even worst at Apple Music and Youtube

like the video for Watermelon Sugar, never even been top 20

but any random rap artists releases a music video and goes straight at #1

'Mood' seemed to be stalling at 40-60k behind 'WAP' for the last week but suddenly closed nearly that entire gap today - definitely has a good chance of hitting #1 on Spotify some time this week and might challenge for overall #1 next week?

Kind of nitpicking but I would say that 'Mood' and 'Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)' (especially the latter) are both pop more than anything else. Wikipedia actually categorises 'Mood' as pop-punk which I think is a bit of a stretch.
