Looks like all the non pop ones falling out now. Blur and Erasure both have a few decent songs of which I've heard but got to admit I've never listened to a full album from either. Haim I've listened to inky their most recent album and its brilliant

Blurs greatest hits is well worth a listen, one of the best British bands ever for me.

Erasure are class but their number one isn’t their biggest hit for me, def is ‘A Little Respect’ for me!

Yeah Blur are easily one of the best British bands of the last 30 years, agreed that their greatest hits is a strong listen.

Always loved Erasure, so many classics, would find it hard to pick a fave but 'Love To Hate You' and 'Chorus' are definitely up there

Really liked Haim's first album but for me they dropped in quality a bit after that. The latest album had some good singles on it though.

All three of those were on my "still to come" list, there's a couple of bands I've got on my list now which I think couldn't possibly have got no votes at all but also couldn't possibly be this high up so I have no idea what's going on with them

Aww I was hoping Blur would be a bit higher than that. A superb varied discography that doesn't contain many duds. My favourite album of theirs changes a lot.

I do really like Haim, they're generally a great singles band but I've never thought any of their albums were that amazing, I particularly don't quite get the fuss on this years.

Wouldn't have expected Erasure to be this high, but welcome it! Although they won't be the last electronic band that came to prominence in the 80s :)

Haim's first 3 singles - Don't Save Me, Falling, Forever  - aside from a couple of other songs on their debut, for me they never quite hit those heights again, though I enjoyed their last album much more than their second one.

Blur just missed for me but amazing band, so much more inventive than Oasis

I also really like Erasure but they really lost steam post-1994

surprised Haim are so high, really like them but have good rather than great songs

Oh I love all 3 in that reveal and all represent a completely different sound too which is always good to see. Erasure are underrated, they have a number of strong albums - most notably Chorus ( ), Erasure, The Innocents and I Say I Say I Say for me.
Pretty disappointed I missed being able to vote in this thread, seemed to pass me by!
HAIM <3 I didn't really care much about their second album but their first album remains great and their latest one was also something of a return to form (think it gets a little bit overrated but it's still very good).

Maroon 5 get a lot of stick on here but they've done some great songs over the years. Hats off to them for constantly evolving to stay relevant, that's quite impressive no matter what anyone says. Their debut album is probably still my favourite but I also really enjoy 'Overexposed' and 'V'. They might not be everyone's cup of tea but they certainly know how to write a catchy pop song.

Fleetwood Mac are obviously one of the classics and their Greatest Hits is still a great listen - 'Go Your Own Way' is one of my favourite driving songs :D

The Cure are another one of those bands that I've never really got. Aside from a couple of singles ('Close To Me' and the obligatory 'Friday I'm In Love') I'd never really listen to them out of choice.

The Cure

Shame they just fell short of being top 30 (and an even bigger shame they were beaten by Maroon 5...) but that’s still pretty good going.

Such an influential band and so many great albums and songs from them.

Robert Smith’s voice will always be one of my favourites in music.

It's been a while since we lost a 30 pointer but we'll sort that out tomorrow!
Can we start posting predictions for the 29 bands left or is it still a bit early for that? I think I can name 24 of them.

wow The Cure ended up pretty high, such an incredible band, one of the UK's best ever for sure

so many classic songs, Lovesong is probably my favourite ("whatever words I say/I will always love you") but also Just Like Heaven, Lullaby,

Friday I'm in Love,... and they even have incredible album tracks like Apart or To Wish Impossible Things.

Maroon 5 I did like them in the beginning but they kinda became a joke/puppet band at the service of Adam Levine

need to investigate more on Fleetwood Mac cos I really like some of their songs but only know very little from their discography

my favourites are Landslide and Dreams, but not sure if Landslide was a UK single...

Perhaps once we get to the top 20? That will be on Thursday. I'll also do a recap plus reveal how many acts each voter has left and who has their 30 pointer still in play.

i can’t believe Haim are above Bon Jovi, Blur and Erasure...😱

I like a lot of singles by Fleetwood Mac and The Cure but don't have any albums by them. I only know a few songs by Maroon 5.

I think Fleetwood Mac are likely to be in 2nd place out of the groups formed before 1970.

I noticed you're showing Scene as giving 17 pts and 3 pts to Maroon 5.
