I mean it’s great that we get the video so soon but whyyyy on a Thursday when streams don’t count. :drama:

At least it’s one more benefit for the first full chart week which ‘Say Something’ didn’t have, so maybe this will get a slightly higher peak?

So the release on a Thursday, the video on a Thursday lol....

Goes against what has been said about build up. Looks like it's all of nothing first week but lots of sales will be lost on Thursday....

Wonder if she is doing some promo. 7pm UK time is a bit random on a Thursday....... The one Show?

Wonder if they are rushing the release to get another song later?

Imagine if she did bring forward the album....

Will there be a big remix of the song next week. How long was it between stop me from falling and then stop me from falling Gente de Zona? Could we have something similar?

Weird to release a video so soon? Are they thinking it's going to be a big hit? Have they got a deal with YouTube or Spotify etc?

Who knows!!!!!!!!!!! I am very nervous but also excited. I usually love single 2.... What if I don't like 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Can’t imagine they’ll move it forward, Sam Smith releases the week before and Bruce Springsteen the week before that.

They must be confident in something.......

To release the video at 7 she must be doing promo somewhere????

I think 7pm is a normal sort of slot to release a video, like when most people are home from work, what time were you expecting?
Urm Friday 9am on Lorraine (in two weeks time) lol

Who cares if its a Thursday or a Tuesday, the obsession with singles charts is beyond me, its obviously not a concern for them so its irrelevant when things are released, its about the album presale and sales in general.

Kylie had to have a tv performance on the UK biggest tv show, physicals, streaming and iTunes just to barely scrape the top 40

It would just be nice if those first day streams counted for something rather than disappear into the abyss due to the one day delay on collecting streaming data. I know the day of release is irrelevant to album sales and general hype, but purely from a fan point of view it’s nice to have another tally to the number of Top 40s/75s.

I would rather she didn’t chart at something like 62, it looks worse, at least if it doesn’t chart then it won’t be on the official charts website to show it did terrible haha

And it’s not lost streams, it’s still counted on Spotify and still in their algorithm

It's not an obsession it's just weird....

I would like to hear more about why.. ie how does it benefit specifically for Kylie.. it's not like she benefits from being put on playlists etc lol .

I seriously would like to learn more about the strategy as it is different this time to say Golden release dates etc

Or is it simply they have brought the release forward as they have canceled the big Say Something remixes and Thurs was a date radio 2 could do etc.

The singles are very important as they put a lot of effort into it.

It’s not weird though, other acts do it, Steps literally did it a couple weeks ago. It’s clearly just to get it out there and promote the album pre sales etc, it also generates press regarding high iTunes even though iTunes is irreverent these days.

It should still chart top 100 next week anyway.

It's going to still sell well on Friday on iTunes , will still get ok streaming on first week especially on Friday from New Music Friday and also the video will get lots of Views week .

Say Something managed it and that was just a lyric video

I was thinking maybe they just release the album track on iTunes on Thursday and then the stand alone on Friday? Aren't there 2 iTunes versions from Disco they can buy?

I cannot imagine many more people pre ordering the album that haven't already

Why do people pre order anyway? Only if limited edition

I just don’t get the interest in something the label obviously don’t seem to care about but the fans obsess over every release and get disappointed every time and it just repeats every release.

Casual fans who hear the second single who weren’t keen on say something
