Wow. I can't believe it was written in 2017! :o

 

I don't know how exactly I pictured the songwriting/recording process but I always figured it would take a few months max to write, produce and record something....so imagining such an obvious hit like Sweet Melody being hidden away on a computer for two years (til Jade mentioned it to MNEK) and then another year and a half before it's actually finished being recorded and chosen as a single is mind blowing to me.

 

But fascinating stuff!

Imagine if the push wasn’t done last week...This week would have been a nightmare! All worked perfectly in the end.

I know its not gonna hold onto number 1 but its good to see it will be number 1 in the mids for half the week plus sales are up aswell.

I think they would’ve held onto #1 last week without the push anyway, but yes, it’s good it happened last week instead of being wasted this week. Although I guess the funds could’ve gone to NTFT instead

I think they’ve got funds for NTFT when the physicals are released at the end of the month..

 

There’s a plan to occupy 1-3 with all the versions on iTunes.

 

Ahhh I’ve just noticed LM’s Twitter has now removed the album artwork everywhere with the same profile pic images the header.

 

I’m guessing they really are wanting to move on completely with Jesy nowhere.

Nice that it's keeping stable, I was convinced it would plummet, or just scrape top 5 this week. I don't really get the fuss of the Olivia song, but I'm sure like most of the time, it will grow on me... or go 'Dance Monkey' on me and start to get really really annoying. :lol:

For such a big hit for the girls, it really wasn't their biggest airplay hit. I think it peaked at #5 on the airplay chart and was down to #26 last week already while Ed is effortlessly rushing in at #1. Shame, given Break Up Song spent weeks at #1. I'm surprised Heart haven't hopped on the Sweet Melody train at all!
