I have a few friends who auditioned for the mixed groups (Didn't get through sadly) but they're a lot more diverse and fun than the boys apparently

Also, I’m not sure on the actual judging either - like they already know what they’re looking for and it seems to be edgy, rough guys so idk why they auditioned half of them

The boyband are the most boring from what I remember from the recording

 

The mixed group were very good and the girl group were good too

God that Make You Feel My Love cover was horrible, I'm so glad Perrie cracked down on it lmao

This is how I feel about it too. None of these guys have blown me away particularly either, but I expected this with the boy band 👀

 

Really intrigued to hear how they all sound together and whether they will gel or not! They all (well except the guy from Oldham oops x) have good voices and I think a few of them could work within a group.

They obvioualy won’t put someone just okay through if he doesn’t fit whatever the others are turning out to form... Just getting good singers together doesn’t equal a good group - see Fifth Harmony.

That's the thing here, I think it's key to actually know what they're looking for and mould the group based on who they have so far and how they fit together. A lot of the time when XF makes a group they just chuck a few rejects but the whole reason LM as a group work so well is because they genuinely really gel together as people, they compliment each other's vocals and performance wise they have that chemistry as well. That's the thing they need to keep in mind and it's really promising they're looking at it from that angle instead of just going "you can sing, that's a yes".
