I'm so excited. The clip sounds better than I remember. Overload wasn't one of my faves while listening to snippets of the album.
I wonder if this one is more of an instant grat / promo release than an actual single?

Co-written with & produced by George Reid (of AlunaGeorge fame).

I LOVE the cover art! :cheer:

Havent listened to it - saving it for tomorrow!!

I love it, I don't know if it could be a real single but it sounds great! IAOOL is defiantly the weakest of everything released so far.

I think it's just a promo single for now. I think she's trying to gather up streams to help the album.

The production is very Olly Murs but that isn't a bad thing, it is the strongest part of the song along with the chorus hook. The rest of the lyrics though are so clunky and at times pretty awful.

I'd love Mel to release some songs she didn't have a hand in writing as her writing style is so basic and at times reminds me of a child writing a poem at school.

The chorus and production are cute. Once again, the lyrics are meh, at times just bad...

Honestly this era proves she can absolutely do great music but she really needs to step up on her writing. It's the main thing letting her down...

Her 3 biggest hits since going indie, Next best superstar, First day of my life and Loving you were not written by Melanie, I think that says a lot.

jesus.... :arrr:

Although to be honest with you, im not sure any of them are lyrical masterpieces either lol but yes, they are less clunky in their lyrical structures

Except she did co-write Loving You. :teresa:

Another single that I love.

The vibe reminds me of a low-key 'Numb'. But I find this to be a more sophisticated song. To me, the development is x10.

I think Melanie is really raising our expectations this era.

Sammy trying to dog her again .

For me this is her weakest release from the project. Would expect this just to be a promo single.

So, I'll try to be as honest as possible, without being a deluded fan.

Do I like what she's been doing lately? Yes, finally some upbeat tunes, great production, interesting videos and those outfits! I love the efforts and the outcome.

Lyrics? Well, this is certainly not an album of poems. Some lines are redundant and there's too much of that "I'm stronger than before" kind of content.

That said, great improvement. She brought me back on board after I lost her with that boring thing that was Reason.

I'd love for those who were disappointed about the lyrics, especially the ones who want new Spice material, to compare this to Melanie's songs:

This is a song for her

You know you light it up

‘Cause you know who you are

Stand up, stand up

She’s got that boom boom pop

That's something they can’t stop

She’s got that oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Song for her

Now, show me how you're not deluded

The song sound amazing.

Song for her was never released, I don't get your point? Mel B, Geri and Emma obviously didn't want to release it for a reason and it wasn't finished beyond a demo for a reason.

You wouldn't even know Song for her or that was what it was called or the lyrics if it wasn't for it being leaked. Imagine how bad some of the lyrics might be on songs that haven't made this new album by Melanie C :puke2:

LOL

Who do you think you are fooling? You were one of the few that championed Song for Her and wanted it to be released. You have double standards.
