His voice and persona was too "hard rock" imo, I can see what they're trying to make -- I find it quite.. adorable how Leigh and Jesy tend to always say yes for vocalists who weren't "perfect", because they're often labelled as the weakest singers in the group, and they're living proof that you can improve to a really strong level over time. I'm quite shocked that Perrie and Jade don't go for the "yes, because you can always improve vocally". It's odd to me. (Sorry if this makes no sense lol)
