The Vamps' fall from #1? They're down to #147

Screaming

The Vamps lmaooo how embarrassing

Ariana has secured her 7th #1, hoping Little Mix hold on to the top 10 debut (preferably higher than Break Up Song's!)

Wow at that fall for the vamps, interesting to see if they can get back into the top 100. Great sales for Bruce Springsteen and the gorillaz have higher sales than I thought they would, hopefully 15k for them by the end of the week and bruce should top 50k.

!!! Wow, The Vamps really laughed in the face of anyone else trying to break their record drop from #1. I was thinking they'd fall to around the 60s at worst! I guess if they are going to have more sales added from this Banquet Records thing they'll probably end the week in a slightly better position but that's really an amazing midweek drop.

Happy to see Gorillaz with the #2 album (I'd guess they should hang onto that as Nothing But Thieves probably won't be any less frontloaded?), was obviously the best they'd be able to do this week against Bruce Springsteen! I did think Whoddy's prediction of 25k for them seemed a little optimistic :P Would be nice if they can get to 15k though I think they'll fall a little short.

As for the new entry at #6...

I have been preparing this post all weekend...

If you thought my previous Bonamassa celebrations were over the top...

they just posted on twitter about it urging fans to buy

I'm sure they'll do something or the label is gonna do something even go buy some albums themselves to avoid such a shameful situation :D

That was a fan account, The Vamps themselves haven't posted anything about it

Curious that The Vamps have ended up in this kind of position whilst 5 Seconds of Summer, a band aimed at more or less the same demographic and who launched at more or less the same time, have managed to maintain their fanbase and can still pull in decently sized hits and strong selling albums. I'd say 5SOS's sound evolved more and I do like them as a band but The Vamps haven't exactly stayed the same either, though maybe the change came too little too late. Still, I feel like for them all that mattered was getting the #1 from the core fanbase that remains and will likely now always remain.

Nice to see Craig David joining the 20 years of Top 40 hits club this week after Pink joined it last. I wonder who the next will be?

Lm falling 2 places in 1 day hopefully it can stay top 10, although it does scream long running hit though,

Little Mix should have a long running hit this time.

The Vamps, I did not think they would fall so far outside the 100.

As little as 500 sales could change it for them.

The Vamps making a 147, 15 reds 15 blacks and the colours.

This has won this week. XD

To be fair, I guess the Vamps would take a #1 - OUT ahead of a #4 -#48 - OUT chart run! But it kinds of makes reaching the number 1 seem far less important if you can still crash out the very next week.

Really chuffed to see James Arthur's Train Wreck doing well. Back from the Edge is a fantastic album, so I am delighted he has - incredibly - managed to get another top 40 from it.
