I think (hope!) she's playing him and by christ does he deserve everything he gets! Hoping she knows the truth about Denny at last. I wonder if we are going to get more flashbacks over Christmas to her finding out? Maybe..?

This is the only way I can see why she would have married him. Otherwise it's just wtaf?!!?

Marrying him and killing him to get all his wealth is more her style than simply battering him, so I can believe her involvement now. Maybe even Phil is in on it too?

I've just watched this not so long ago, and I never laughed so much in my life, it took 3 attempts to put him down, in the pub, Tuesday at the hospital, and again in his hospital bed, than Bobby blurts out, "sorry dad I'm the one that hit you" What a mess. And I thought he was going on a 6 months break, by the looks of things they are attempting to kill him off.

I'm really gutted by this, Barbara was such a national treasure and it feel like one of your own has died. It's been heartbreaking to see someone who was so full of life and adored showbiz deteriorate into an empty shell, thankfully she's at peace now.

Peggy is one of my all-time fave soap characters. Barbara was perfect in the role and was so watchable and charismatic. The show really misses someone like her.

I can recite this word for word.

Very iconic EastEnders character with so many great scenes loved the Pauline fowler head to head clip. It's a cruel disease like so many others, rip Barbara.

RIP Barbara, Peggy was so iconic.

Last nights episode wasn’t iconic at all, not even in a so bad it’s good way. Total mess.

The way that I hope tonight’s episode is NOT dedicated to Barbara...

It really doesn't get more iconic than Peggy and that's down to Barbara (I mean, who remembers the original Peggy actress...). It's hard to think of another character that is so consistently quotable, memorable and synonymous with the show in the way Peggy / Barbara had become.

Looking back at some of those iconic moments in Liam's post really makes you miss having a character like Peggy in the show.

Tonight's EastEnders has been moved to 9:05pm so that Babs, the 2017 BBC biopic, can be shown after The One Show.

A few weeks ago I said I hoped it was Sharon who tried to kill Ian, or orchestrated it, because she's somehow found out about his involvement in Denny's death. I really hope that her marrying Ian so suddenly is all part of her revenge plan. (On that note, I have NEVER been so shocked by something in a soap! My mouth was WIDE OPEN when she married Ian!)

R.I.P to the lovely Barbara Windsor.

Sharon's clearly behind the attack

The entire show is basically "omg who assaulted Ian" atm and does anybody give a shit? :drama:

Jack, im not sure what i hate more that cream coat ir his constant pouting in every single episode, it grates the hell out of me.

Ugh, don’t tease me with the prospect of Mick leaving. I should be so lucky.

Ian’s flashback of Ben only confirms to me that Ben didn’t do it.

Why haven’t they been able to make Peter likeable at any point in the past ten years?
