Is it confirmed we’re getting a death? I haven’t been paying enough attention but I guess we do every year.

Certainly looks like Tina’s a goner which is a shame as she’s only just become interesting and that definitely should have tied her into the Chantelle story earlier on.

I hope she is, not a character I'd be happy to see back, hopefully Gray can kill her and a few others off before he's caught.

If only Tina confronting Gray marked the end of this storyline, but no, Gray will either end up killing her and probably end up being a serial killer or, if Monday's episode is a new day, Tina will have disappeared and later be revealed to be help hostage in the basement. Regardless, it's another cruel, sensational twist and is why it means f*** all when the show release statements saying they've worked closely with charities and helplines.

Remember how refreshing it was when Ruby didn't want to be tied down by marriage and children?

I'm aware I've been pretty negative about the show recently, so here's a positive: Kathy looked nice.

Ruby declaring she wants a baby almost confirms that she won’t have one.

Going down the serial killer route with Gray could be good. Lucas is inexplicably out of prison so maybe he’ll tie into the story somehow, people accusing him instead. I don’t know, but I think Tina does need to die. She’s a big enough character that her death will affect others but she’s not good enough a character to leave a gaping hole in the show like many that went before her. I think it’d be a lame cop out if they hinted at it and then Shirley receives a post card in 6 months saying sorry I’ve not been in touch, I’m living in the 1980s.

It looks very likely Gray will kill Tina.

Her death may help unite Muck and Linda as them getting back together is certain to happen.

Tina brought that on herself tbh she could have honestly prevented that from happening if she played it smarter . It is a shame to see her go that way considering she also had a history of domestic violence as well .
Good episode tonight, I wont miss Tina but gray is going to be a serial killer now so he is sure to murder at least 1 more before the truth comes out.

I’m glad we know she’s dead, I don’t have the energy for ambiguity in this story. I have a feeling we may be waiting until next Christmas for Gray to get his comeuppance. It may even be a storyline where I actually enjoy Mick again.

As for Tina, she was never really more than a supporting character. Every time they tried to give her a story it flopped-running over Janet, the whole weird Stuart thing. I do wish that she’d gotten involved in Gray’s story without the ridiculousness of her inclusion in the Ian whodunnit. She was a solid presence for 7 years and isn’t someone anyone would be begging to see back so that might have gotten the death right this time.

Not having her onscreen with Zsa Zsa is a missed opportunity but hey, maybe that’s a character that could return later down the line.

This show really has lost the plot. Almost at switching off territory.
Tina didn't look very dead to me, I'm guessing she's been held captive somewhere or was dumped and she'll reappear at some point. Still, this whole story development is a huge slap in the face to the domestic abuse victims the show claims to represent. Also, why do they keep giving Gray these awful monologues that he can't deliver with an inch of conviction. He can't even walk convincingly.

I liked Tina as a character but I don't think I'll really miss her. I wonder how Gray managed to carry her body down the steps that lead to his house and into his car without anyone noticing.

Martin said he had four children. Hope and Bex are two of them but I can't think of any others or is he including Lily and Arthur as he helped to bring them up?

I think he’s counting Lilly and Arthur. Arthur has always been brought up as Martin’s and he has also acted as Lilly’s dad for most of her life.

That wasn't a particularly surprising twist - why else would they have randomly lumped Shirley & Tina in at Gray's house? Also it was teased a while ago that there would be a serial killer storyline that begins to play out over Christmas that wasn't obvious at that stage.

I think I agree with T Boy that they've probably got the choice of death 'right' for once. Tina's not a legacy character or leading character but still a big enough presence to have an impact on the show and other characters.

What sort of message does it send out though? Tina, a domestic abuse survivor, figures out that an abuser killed his wife, and is killed by said abuser? As I touched on before, the show makes all this noise about working with charities etc. for the sake of one episode, but I wonder what these charities would think about the aftermath? It's all been about Gray and his feelings, barely any coverage of the Taylors, and lots of sensational plot points. Also, death has become so overused and is a cheap way of getting very short-term drama that it genuinely means nothing to me anymore. It's also hard to see Gray as particularly bad when every other character on the show is just as morally corrupt.

This was my thinking. Two domestic abuse victims have been killed by a abuser. To me that sends out such an icky message :/

Tina was more annoying than interesting throughout her time on the square, kling her off was the right move as she was far from a legacy character. I agree with the points about domestic abuse its not a good view to give out but most things on the show are wish washy these days.
I knew this was the route they were going to go down when they killed Chantelle. Especially when there was no announcement of Gray leaving.
