My mistake, there is the epitome of teenagers right there. What a scene, how could I forget that had happened

Tbh if they’d just found the Buffy/Charmed of t seet, they could have had him in prison ages ago.

Love how it’s been five years but Denise’s single GCSE in English still elevates her to some sort of intellectual God status in Walford.
Just to confirm then, episodes will now be Monday-Thursday with no Friday episode. All of them will air at 7:30pm from 7th March. This does mean a constant battle with Emmerdale.

Omg, THIS!!!

And I brought you the rumour about Doctors and ITV's the Crossroad first!!

ITV sees WEAKNESS in BBTory's two soaps, and wants to kill them both off, or at lesst PERMANENTLY damage them. It is bringing back The Crossroad daytime to take down Doctors, so Esstenders is moving Doctors to 7pm to protect it, and banking on EE weathering the 7:30pm clash storm 3 days a week instead of 4. They really should have put EE on at 7 instead... Eastenders cannot handle Corrie or Emmerdale Farm. They sre far bigger enterprises.

Now! BBTory's plan is to build up a night-time 7pm audience for Doctors, hopefully making it strong enough to EVENTUALLY COMPETE WITH EMMERDALE FATM!!!

RIP to Anna Karen (Aunt Sal) who has tragically died in a house fire. :(

Hopefully they will dedicate tomorrow's episode to her.

Wow, rare to see dialogue on primetime TV that so accurately portrays the modern teenager.

As for Denise's GCSE that was yet another one of those where the hell is this going plots along with her and Kim apparently not been biological sisters that was then retconned. I swear they must have had to shelve some big plot or something back then leading to all these weird non-stories.

Really sad about Anna Karen, particularly how it happened.

What an iconic character

Ant Sal had so many brilliant scenes but the family dinner was scene was a huge highlight. Its really sad how she died, RIP to Anna.
Not bothered, should have gone before Christmas as he’s done nothing of note since. The whole family should go at this point.

Horrific news about Anna Karen! :( I knew she was suffering with her health so it wasn't unexpected to see she had passed away but the circumstances surrounding her death certainly were not expected. I just pray she didn't suffer.

It was always such a treat whenever Aunt Sal made an appearance - that scene posted above from 2010 being the best. I'm glad no producer ever brought her in full-time though as I think that would have diluted the impact of the character. There's a lot of great recurring characters and extras on EastEnders and you don't seem to see that on other soaps. I quite like how that's EastEnders' 'thing'.

Not very surprised at that departure.

In a way I feel like the entire family now have come to that *natural* sort of end and where as CS would have them linger on for years on end without doing anything I feel like EE may decide to write them out as a family or even the actors themselves may decide to leave.

We know Grays story is concluding soon and once that happens I do feel like the end may be near for Mitch, Bailey and Karen.

I do love Karen though she’s who I’d miss most if they were to leave but I can definitely see it happening it’s a tad like they’ve ran out of steam.

Horrible news regarding Anna Karen,

Aunt Sal was the best great recurring characters, her one-liners were legendary.

Just watched that scene what an actress.

EE really have the best cat fights when it comes to the older characters on the show those insults and one liners from both her and Barbara Windsor too I bet that scene was such fun to film with plenty funny outtakes

The references to Slapping Dahn tonight were sending me.

Also Jean ‘we can’t do this tonight, I’ve got balloons’-definitely a phrase that’s going into my regular rotation.

And poor Tina, overshadowed in death just like she was when she was alive.
