November 4, 20204 yr Just Like Magic sounds beautiful but it gets a bit lost in the rest of the album for me. The 'love letters to heaven' line really hits though.

November 4, 20204 yr Author This was initially a huge disappointment for me, as 'Love Me Harder' was such a high bar, but I'd be lying if I said the final chorus didn't slay me in the bath earlier :lol: so yes, a bit of a grower as I was hoping for ~
November 4, 20204 yr Off The Table is really underrated I think. One of the most 'classic' R&B tracks on the album and its just so smooth and then when she really goes for it at the end it feels so earned. The little vocal ticks throughout the song sound so heavenly.
November 4, 20204 yr "Off the Table" was definitely a grower. I was also quite underwhelmed on first listen but I think it was because it wasn't what I was expecting at all. Not one of my favourites but it's still beautiful. :wub:
November 4, 20204 yr Six Thirty has been a bit of a grower for me but I do still wish it had a proper chorus. As it is it feels like a bit more of an interlude than a full song.

November 4, 20204 yr Author The meaning of 'six thirty' is quite cool (6:30 is when both of the hands on a clock face downwards and the chorus is "are you down?") but the most filler song for me sonically We get to some great songs after this *.*
