9th October marked 20 years since the release of Kylie's collaboration with Robbie Williams, 'Kids'. Robbie and his writing partner Guy Chambers were the first people Kylie worked with for 'Light Years'; 'Kids' was originally written as a solo track but Robbie recognised the chemistry between himself and Kylie so turned it into a duet. The song was another hit, including the UK where it reached #2 and was certified Silver upon release. It's become a tour staple for both acts, where sometimes they bring out other artists to duet with, but none of them compare to the sizzling sexual energy of the original.

 

20 years on, what are your thoughts and memories of the song?

 

 

I know its not hugely popular here, i always liked kids but i do think she needs to cut it from the tours for a good while, i was very disappointed kids wasnt a number 1, with both robbie and kylie huge at the time i had myself convinced it was a cert for number 1,

Probably the one Kylie song I hate :puke2: I wish she would drop it from her live sets but like a reoccurring nightmare it never goes away

To be fair i agree its far over used on the set lists.

Good song.

That said, there are many better than it that get overlooked on Kylie's tours.
