I really hope that neither Mariah, The Pogues nor Wham ever go to number one. Somehow it just wouldn't feel right for them to suddenly be number one after all these years, I just want them to have always peaked at number two, if that makes sense. I kinda like the fun stat that 'Last Christmas' is the biggest selling single ever not to make number one (and I'm guessing Mariah's number two in that list).
One that would put her in a very elite group with Luis Fonsi & Baddiel/Skinner.

Wait people have achieved #1 whilst being on ACR before?!

Say wham did eventually get it who would take the number 2 record just out of curiosity

Right now, Wonderwall actually has the record for a non-#1, it's 9th on all time combined sales with Mr Brightside 10th! Last Christmas is 12th, but could overtake again in a few weeks.

Last Christmas probably still has it on pure sales though.

Who managed that?

Despacito and Three Lions afaik.

Maybe Last Christmas will vie for #1 before year end, well here's hoping.

I am surprised December Song by George Michael, which for me is at least as good as Last Christmas, doesn't get very high chart wise. Oh and Greg Lake with I Believe in Father Christmas, I'm surprised at that not being a big Xmas chart staple.

Oh and while I'm on a roll, Sia, Snowman B-)
