I want a place to collect all your first impressions so that when you want to look back on it after a year or 6 months even, you don't have to wade through 60 pages of their album thread aha. What are your first impressions? Do you like the album? Is it underwhelming? Better than you expected? Fave tracks? Any songs you think will be growers?

Mess (Happy 4 U) 09. Not A Pop Song 10. If You Want My Love 11. Nothing But My Feelings 12. Rendezvous 13. My Love Won't Let You Down --- I like the top 10 a lot/they have the most potential to grow, the bottom 3 I'm not really sure where they'll be after several listens, but I'm not feeling them too much on first listen. As I've said before, this album really showcases their strength in the pop melodies and choruses! SO good. However, at least 70% of the tracks could've had an extra chorus or something... just so short :( Loving this right now. I was a little nervous when people were saying the top half of the album is far superior (you're not wrong), but I think I was expecting the absolute worst for the 2nd half, when that wasn't the case.M(H4U) is proving to be a real grower and so is Nothing But My Feelings! So we'll see where they end up in a weeks time lmao.

But I am not an album person, so the fact that Sweet Melody is there already makes it my favorite ;-) Kidding, but yeah I am very happy with the few very high highs! Too soon to give scores, but my ranking would be: Best song of the year 1. Sweet Melody Love 2. Break Up Song 3. Happiness Like 4. Gloves Up (This might actually grow on me a lot) 5. Holiday Just OK 6. Nothing But My Feelings 7. Mess (Happy 4 U) 8. Not A Pop Song 9. Breathe 10. Confetti Dislike/Won't Go Back 11. If You Want My Love 12. Rendezvous 13. My Love Won't Let You Down
November 7, 20204 yr So much better than LM5 The only song I didn’t like was My Love Won’t Let You Down I wonder what songs will get remixes with a rapper for the next singles ? I think Confetti stood out for me the most.

Not a Pop Song - 7/10 07. Nothing But My Feelings - 7/10 08. Gloves Up - 8/10 09. A Mess (Happy 4 U) - 8/10 10. My Love Won't Let You Down - 7/10 11. Rendezvous - 6/10 12. If You Want My Love - 6/10 13. Breathe - 7/10 Well it is better than 'LM5' but not all that much, this should have just been a 10 track album, scrapping the last 3. Apart from the 3 singles & 'Happiness' there's not really all that much to offer here. My ranking of their studio albums so: 01. Salute - 9.142 02. Glory Days - 8.843 03. Get Weird - 8.666 04. DNA - 8.333 05. Confetti - 7.823 06. LM5 - 7.769
November 8, 20204 yr Ranking them because I’ve only listened twice so it’d be a bit far-fetched to give concrete scores: 01 // Sweet Melody 02 // Break Up Song 03 // Not A Pop Song 04 // Gloves Up 05 // Happiness 06 // Confetti 07 // If You Want My Love 08 // A Mess (Happy 4 U) 09 // Breathe 10 // Nothing But My Feelings 11 // Holiday 12 // Rendezvous 13 // My Love Won’t Let You Down Sweet Melody slaps and sad it’s not doing more chart-wise, their best single since Touch, Break Up Song only slightly behind. Not A Pop Song is catchy af, doesn’t exactly have the most creative lyrics but the production reminds me of Ellie Goulding - Close To Me and the chorus is infectious. Towards the bottom I don’t know what they were thinking releasing Holiday - it’s pretty pale, and Rendezvous has the same effect as Red Planet did on me where it’s the sensual R&B song that does not an awful lot for me. MLWLYD I can hardly remember after both listens - they do ballads well but it’s pretty monotone.

I have been quite critical of them since the end of the LM5 era because I really wanted better from them than 'Bounce Back' and 'Break Up Song' and thankfully I think this album delivers. I think 'My Love Won't Let You Down' is probably the only song I would skip, and perhaps 'Breathe', but the rest of the album is extremely listenable. The production in particular is a highlight. Every song just sounds SO GOOD.

My Love Won't Let You Down I'd say this is a very consistent album, "Sweet Melody" and "Happiness" are two of their best songs in years. I'm not sure yet where I would place it in an overall rank of their albums. I don't think it's better than "Salute" or "DNA" but I'd put it on par with "LM5" in 3rd or 4th. I love that this album seems authentic and very "them".

November 10, 20204 yr i dont think i've ever even posted in this forum before but this album is too good not to... i wasn't even intending to listen to it tbh, i don't dislike little mix like they have some real bangers but i've never bothered to listen to anything other than the singles i know i already like but they were playing confetti in hmv when i was in the other day and i heard gloves up to rendezvous and was shook by how much i was really loving it :lol: we nearly bought the album there and then but decided to hold off and blast it on spotify as soon as we got home - (highly recommend a kỉtchen confetti dance party while making dinner btw x) and well that was three days ago and i've listened to nothing but this album since :') this is how i'd rank them atm! 1. gloves up 2. rendezvous 3. confetti 4. break up song 5. a mess (happy 4 u) 6. breathe 7. if you want my love 8. sweet melody 9. nothing but my feelings 10. holiday 11. not a pop song 12. happiness 13. my love won't let you down Edited November 10, 20204 yr by linds
