EMI releases Jason Donovan greatest hits package

Source: Music Week

Eighties pop star Jason Donovan, tipped to win ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, is making a comeback with the EMI release of a greatest hits compilation.

Including ten Top Ten hits, the 13-track CD will be released on December 4, as the Australian singer, a contender for this year’s ITV ratings romp, leaves the jungle.

Donovan, who starred in Aussie soap Neighbours in the late Eighties, went on to release two UK albums – number one-selling Ten Good Reasons, and Between The Lines, which yielded two number one singles.

Between 1988 and 1993 alone, he had 17 hit singles and the Greatest hits album features a selection, including Every Day (I Love You More), Nothing Can Divide Us and Any Dream Will Do taken from West End musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Oh god - my grandma is going to have an orgasm
This will sell loads I'm sure.

Is it a budget album priced at 3.99 ?

If not then it's a complete waste of time.

Well it was inevitable.

I wonder how this will do.

Releases by 'I'm A Celebrity' stars have had very mixed results. Peter Andre made #1 and #3 but the albums flopped; Matt Willis went in at 60-odd.

I'd rather buy a Myleene Klass calender. :D

so would I

OMD

This isn't his first GH. There was a budget version in Woolies a good ten years ago!

It might make a sudden re-appearance in Woolies too.

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark

OMD - Oh My Days :P bit like omg lol

I think it might attract new fans, but a lot of his older fans would have bought his previous Best of which was available not all that long ago and had more tracks on it. And as there is no new material on this latest collection, i can't see many people buying it if they have already got his previous one.

I love his songs. I bought it the first time round. I think people will be suprised how may good songs he actually had.
i really liked his single mission of love it was one of his last singles and it dodnt do that well,i think this greatest hits could so well enough for him,
