Melanie C and Bryan Adams together on a track again :cheer:
Jess Glynne though...
Great cause and good visibility for Melanie. I hope she managed to sing some solos here.
Melanie C, Cher, Kylie Minogue, Paloma Faith & Robbie Williams all on the same track? Whoa! :music:
If it were to reach number 1 it would be the fourth number 1 for mel c

Technically, it would be her 13th UK #1 :cheer:

Good luck to them. Personally, charity singles do my head in and I generally try to avoid them, so wont be buying it.

15th if we count the A sides. But I don’t see this going to no1. At least without the Telly support she would get in different times - effing COVID. And the streaming will kill it too.

I have more of an interest in this song now !!!

It's not *just her* single, though. It's a BBC Children in Need charity single with loads of artists. She is credited which is good and it means that it difinitly counts as a single that includes Melanie C and thus, hers too for sure.

You cant count the double A sides separatly in this case as they were released at a time when they counted as one. 13 is a really great number for any artist. As a female artist, its probably the highest in the UK ever!

She would be tied with Madonna as the female act FEATURED on the most #1 singles... Madonna of course would have the real title of 13 #1's of her own.

Madge is not British though.

He didn't say British female he said the highest for a female in the UK? If that's what he meant then her and Geri already have that record with both having featured on 12 UK #1s... although technically Geri didn't release Viva forever she was no longer a Spice Girl at that point but it's obviously still her #1.
