Pupi Pusson getting praised when she looked like trash yet Inti getting critiqued to hell when she looked STUNNING. Come on luvvies!

I thought that challenge was AWFUL, can't see how Carmen won personally and I can't stand Pupi, she was ok in the challenge but her runway was so so hideous. She is pretty unlikeable too, I got to the point I couldn't stand seeing her confessionals anymore :lol:

 

I don't think many of them were that good in the challenge tbh, I'd have given the win to Killer Queen probably or Saggitaria. Vulcano wasn't great and I can't see she'd bring toooo much to the rest of the competition but are they really gonna put someone in the bottom over platforms?! Ma'Ma Queen being in the bottom for her shoes on DRH teas x

I figured it was the language barrier that meant the verses didn’t really hit for me- aside from Killer Queen but Carmen was serving full diva girl group tease throughout which I adored she is a star!

 

And I actually really liked Pupi’s runway but couldn’t stand her girl group look and found her really annoying and am not really enjoying her as the narrator when we could get someone fun and quirky like Arantxa, unaware like Sagittaria or charismatic like Carmen (who tbf is basically a second narrator)

 

Also Pupi’s comments about Killer Queen were so bizarre and seemed to come from nowhere- I guess there’s a thing between them but it seemed so out of nowhere???

 

But Carmen’s runway will live in my head forever and ever- absolutely FLAWLESS and this series has been more entertaining in its 2 episode run than DRDU

Pupi’s sense of entitlement is almost as bad as her makeup skills. Almost.

The challenge was a bit of a... mess? Carmen did fantastic though, she gave total J.Lo vibes and the runway challenge look was sublime!! I am also low-key obsessed with La Veneno and the lipsync song now.

lol why didn't they autotune the challenge!!!! it was a total hot mess but the right person won and aranxta didnt go home, so i'm happy

Pupi and Dovima are such bitches and I am living for it.

 

Despite myself my fave is Carmen! She could easily have won the first two. I also really liked The Macarena and Arantxa is iconic. I'm living for the nonbinary representation here too.

 

I could have had Sagittaria win that last challenge though.

Really loved Inti. Don’t understand at all how they were going to put her in the bottom 2 so I fully get the kick off.

I thought tbf Inti was the worst in the challenge so did deserve that bottom placement sadly. It’s a shame she was so reluctant to receive critiques and even lipsync- did she know what the show was?

Inti looked FANTASTIC on the runway, as usual, but I do think she is an example of someone who really needed a bit more experience before competing in the show. You could see she was not comfortable with the challenges and probably did the worst this week (as was last week as well). Her reacting was a bit disappointing, but she is also very very young and has a lot of stuff going on I feel.

 

Sagittaria did so well and deserved the win this week.

Why did they make Dovima lipsync on her own and not have the top 2 lipsync for the win instead? It would have made a lot more sense.

How is Inti going to go out looking like that and get read for it? I don't blame her for kicking off, I agree she was probably the worst in the challenge but they didn't really frame it as that, they're framing it as her runway look was not enough when a lot of the runway looks were simple and didn't get called out for it. I mean wtf was Arantxa's as much as I love her?! I think she is young with a lot going on and unhelpful comments are going to push her, as much as she was probably a bit dramatic and OTT about it, I expect she has so much going in her head, wasn't ready, and things blew up like that.

Inti is destroyed on the runway for her... shoes... despite having the best look out of everyone this season thus far. sureeeeeeee makes sense especially after the judges saved Pupi despite her horrible performance in week 1. her makeup skills are bare minimum at best too.

 

I fear Hugaceo is in trouble and will be a sacrifice very soon because she’ll be doing something different and non conventional drag-gy. Judges don’t seem to see that she’s trying to step up drag’s collective pussy while queens like Carmen and Pupi while being strong in what they do rely mostly on old tricks.

Very selective and questionable judging. La Vulcano gets ‘this is too much’ comment and Inti was not enough despite bringing everything to the table. Make it make sense.

 

It’s clear judges don’t appreciate too many risks and a polished more classic drag type o’ gal will win. So... Carmen or Sagittaria? Pupi is also being dragged there almost against her will just for the sake of her being an established name in the industry.

Also omfg why was she being interrogated in front of all the other queens. Just take her somewhere private and talk there 1 on 1 and let her calm down, no wonder she was still being apprehensive and didn’t change her mind.

100%! This was a big problem in Holland too, like they threw Ma'Ma Queen in the bottom for not liking her shoes following that dance challenge where the guest judge even singled her out as being the best in the challenge!

 

What I don't get is, Inti was not great in the challenge and that's fine, so why did they not just focus on that? Fair enough I can't really see who else could have been bottom, but it's the way they slated what was the best look there for something that really made no sense. This happens a lot on Drag Race I've noticed, they already have a justification for a bottom placement but rather than using that they play up the runway? I think the runway does and should matter, but maybe just like if you did really well on the challenge and have a shit runway (for example Tia Kofi in the Rusical), or maybe if there's a bottom 3 or 4 who didn't do that well and it's hard to choose, the runway could clinch it and decide the actual bottom 2. Then there's times like Brooke in S11 Snatch Game who KILLED the runway but was so bad in the challenge nothing would have saved her. But in no way should someone who did bad in a challenge also be slated for a runway that clearly was the best thing there. It's like "oh you did bad at the main thing so you can't have praise for the runway" which is stupid.

i agree with both sides tbh. on a purely aesthetic level my first thought when inti came out was that the dress and shoes were disparate from the rest and i would have loved the textures and colours of the headpiece and cape to run through the whole thing. but also it must be incredibly frustrating for inti to be critiqued in that way when she's the only one who knows intimately what she was portraying on the runway.

 

she was easily the worst in the challenge, and has been generally low energy throughout, but she has also been hit with critiques that are likely to drain your enthusiasm for the competition rather than galvanise you to fight harder. i understand why she left the way she did, i'm sure many of us would have done the same, i just wish the judges could have been a bit more supportive in a way to make her want to continue on.

 

overall, v much an oversight on the judges part with regards to the effect of the feedback they are giving, but i believe they were well-intentioned at least (not saying this is an excuse for insensitivity, especially on a cultural level). hopefully they realise this and hold themselves more accountable moving forward rather than labelling ini as 'the one who gave up despite us trying to 'help' her'.

It was definitely Arantxa’s time to go unfortunately but her facial expressions alone have been a joy over these 4 episodes! Killer getting a win was a pleasant surprise as well as I immediately pegged her as an early out. I’m predicting a Sagittaria, Pupi and Carmen top three currently but queens all the other queens could go either way really- particularly Dovima who is a very interesting character

God I cannot STAND Pupi, like even during Snatch Game I felt like she just kept butting in with "BRAVO BRAVO!1!1!1!", I get in Snatch Game you have to seize your moments but there's seizing the moment and there's being annoying af and tryiing to snatch attention from others which I feel Pupi was bordering on. The judges seem to eat up everything she does no matter what though?!

 

I think this was probably the most I've enjoyed an episode of this though, something is stopping me really caring about this season but other than Hugaceo's absolute bomb and Arantxa being meh they were all pretty good, despite me knowing none of the characters bar Mona Lisa which has to be the most bizarre Snatch Game choice ever :lol: The "Ball" just being a runway not a challenge by itself though was... odd. Snatch Game AND that for one episode is so much to take in to the point I kinda dissociated from the looks and didn't pay attention. It feels like Killer won for that rather than the Snatch Game although she was good there, the judging here is really weird but through the 85 seasons of Drag Race we've had this year, I feel like I say that nearly every time :lol: Saggitaria definitely won Snatch Game for me, the Aquaria teas are REAL!

 

Sad to see Arantxa go, I think she's one of those wh has a great personality but just doesn't fit the show necessarily, I can't see Hugaceo lasting much longer though. I expected so much more than what we're gettng :(
