Ok, I’m a bit of an insomniac, so I went down the rabbit hole. These are the only discrepancies that I noticed. I hope this helps some. I’ll try to find the appropriate links from Spice News or other

I never found credits for All We Need, so that is definitely interesting to see. It’s been a good 15 years since I searched publishing for the Touch era writers. I kinda lost interest and was more int

A song called The Young and The Restless has been found on BMI registration site, with Elliott Kennedy as a writer and the Spice Girls (as a unit rather than individual names) are stated as the singers.

It seems to come from the Spice era. Will add to the list on the original post.

Here is the link: Spice Girls - The Young and the Restless

I just can’t imagine a SG song called Serial Killer  their music is generally upbeat, like how would the lyrics go?

Wat?! Thw reason why their musical failed is that all they ever did was ballad ballad ballad!!

I feel like I'm the only one who likes Likely Stories (C U Next Tuesday)

Nope, im a big fan of it. It's a gorgeous, fun demo  would have LOVED if it had been polished and finished, to be used as a bside or even a delux version album track

Yeah me too

When I say upbeat, I don’t just mean uptempo lol. I mean positive. Even their ballads have upbeat messages (look for the rainbow in every storm, live forever for the moment, I want to make love to you baby, mama I love you etc). :P

I never understand their obsession with ballads. I mean they are nice and all but they are not the female version of Westlife! Half of their greatest hits is ballad to me is mind-boggling lol.

You know were were all surprised that they chose a ballad as their comeback single as five but don’t forget that they almost went with Let Love Lead The Way alone as the first single for Forever.

I agree. Other than Too Much, Naked and VF, I’m not too fussed. Their uptempos on the other hand are iconic!

I feel like Spice Girls are one of the few girlbands who truly mastered the ballad tbf. Sugababes are the only other girl group who can match them with stronger and Too lost in you.

However coming back with Headlines ballads was just such a WTF moment... however if Voodoo was the other option then thank f*** they did.

True actually, I can't really think of any other girl groups that excelled there - other than the likes of Heart! Sugababes definitely excelled in that regard (Stronger, Shape, Caught In A Moment, Change).

I wonder if they're the only pop girl group to have a singles discography that is more ballads than uptempo? They really should have gone ahead with Never Give Up on the Good Times!

1. Wannabe

2. Say You'll Be There

3. Who Do You Think You Are

4. Spice Up Your Life

5. Stop

6. Holler

1. 2 Become 1

2. Mama

3. Too Much

4. Viva Forever

5. Goodbye

6. Let Love Lead the Way

7. Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)

Atomic Kitten? They had Eternal Flame, LDHTH, Last Goodbye, If You Come to Me, SLM and Cradle as ballads, not many uptempos. :D

Damn.. they really should have released Never Give Up On The Good Times, it would have added much needed energy boost to their releases back then. WILD that since Stop, we only had ONE uptempo - Holler - and four ballads...

They have the best ballads from a major pop group, not even just girlband-wise. But they are better known for their uptempos.

I looked through their singles and I reckon 7 could be considered uptempo, then another 7 definitely ballads, but then there's 4 which are quite midtempo because of their production and don't really come across as being ballads to me... although lyrically they lean more towards ballad. But yeah, I'd agree that Atomic Kitten join Spice Girls in the 'more slow than fast singles' category!

I bet none of us fans would have guessed when they released Stop, that we'd only be treated to one more uptempo single after that! A shame about NGUOTGT. I'd like to think that if they had released it as a single, it would now be regarded as a classic! I know us fans do but with its album track status, it never really will be to the wider public.

I honestly don't understand why Never give up on the good times wasn't tacked onto Viva forever like originally planned? A tour montage video would have done it and they wouldn't have needed to do any extra promotion that what they did except maybe switch up a few of the Viva forever performances. I think it would have been a classic too.

Failing that it would have been a nice single in September when they had the Back In Britain stadium dates (again with a tour montage video) and would have surely helped to boost some more sales out of Spiceworld.

Yeah I never understood either, but maybe because Nevr Give Up is Geri-heavy on the chorus? They could have just recorded a couple of things, it would have taken half a day lol and they were already recording whilst in america anyway...

A single mix for the song would have done wonders at the end of the summer and celebrate their stadium dates and end of what is still the biggest girlband tour ever to this day.

It would have helped cement the four-piece even more, as tell the world they didnt really need Geri to carry on. Instead, they started to look into solo projects. Like, I love me some I Want You Back and When You're Gone (sometimes lol) but these two shouldnt have taken precedent to a Never Give Up single release.

For me, this and how they (didnt) promote Forever, were the biggest misteps in their careers.

The whole Geri heavy on the chorus is such a lame excuse though as they didn't even to perform it really if they promoted Viva forever and just had it as the second a-side to the single. Would have given fans another video (like a tour montage) and exposed more of the album.

And like you said, if released as a 5th single from the album they could easily have re-recorded it or just sung it live instead!

Love Thing - Using the Instanbul tour version as the single version

Never Give Up On The Good Times

all should have been singles. Based on their Spotify numbers most fans prefer their uptempo singles over their ballads. 2 Become 1 is the only ballad in their top 5 most streamed tracks.
