Looks like Jamie Cullem and Dolly Parton Xmas albums doing good business this week

I'd love to see Dolly make the top 10.

I’d expect the Christmas songs to do relatively poorly in the first look, before spiking up in the Monday and Tuesday updates as the weekend data comes through, and then dropping back slightly. Therefore JM’s tweet is puzzling.
Can see Steps getting the number one for some reason, think they will have more fan base bundles etc. The shops being open will help physicals overall hopefully

Yes I think Gary will prove to be more front-loaded than Steps.

I'm not looking forward to tonight's First Look Chart :drama:  :(

James Masterton's tweets are always puzzling. Don't read anything into them.

rooting for underneath the tree to be top 20!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s near the top 10!

If Wizzaed is 20 we will have Wham, Pogues, Mariah and possibly Slade/Band Aid to come plus potentially a newer track from Kelly and Ariana

I would say the bosses in OCC headquarters have their head in their hands right now

It was still only five to ten years ago that I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday was the third most popular Christmas song behind Mariah and The Pogues. Now barely scraping top ten.

And a Buble song I’d imagine

Yeh knew I had forgotten one - Brenda Lee can’t be far off either!

I imagine it’ll be fairly high on the Xmas week chart as it does better on Amazon and Apple and the likes but Spotify dominates and it’s Xmas playlists favour American artists a lot!

Love how ‘Step Into Christmas’ has become so huge when it was a relative flop for the new break through artist in December 1973 - maybe there was just too many other big hits that year.
