But iirc those rules were introduced simultaneously so indeed it's a little amusing that he's gone on to actually benefit in this way from the rule changes.

December 13, 20204 yr I can't help but think, on the whole, that the chart-toppers would have been improved by not having ACR. I mean, I'm against listens being counted towards "sales" on principle unless they are personal choices specifically chosen - but if I can't have that it's just silly to arbitrarily penalise some tracks just for being successful....

December 14, 20204 yr Thanks for posting this! Didn't realise Ava Max in 2018 was even lower without ACR than 'River' last year.
August 29, 20213 yr Author Random bump for this to note that ACR hasn't affected the #1 spot at all so far this year (drivers license would have fallen off #1 anyway in week 10) - this is the furthest we've got into a calendar year without an ACR-induced swap since the rule was introduced.
