Christina Aguilera - What A Girl Wants

Busted - What I Go To School For

Bodyrockers - I Like The Way

Chaka Demus and Pliers - Tease Me

Danny Wilson - Mary's Prayer

Deep Dish - Flashdance

Faul & Wad Ad vs Pnau - Changes

The Jam - The Eton Rifles

Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone

Mya - Case Of The Ex

Danny Wilson were not named after the football player, they took their name from a Frank Sinatra film called 'Meet Danny Wilson'. This was their only top 20 hit. We also have two great songs by The Jam and Deep Dish.

Backstreet Boys - Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely

Robbie Williams - Let Me Entertain You

Vanessa Williams - Save The Best For Last

A lovely ballad which reached number 1 in the US. Like Danny Wilson, Vanessa had no other top 20 hits in the UK. She has gone on to a successful career as an actress.

Taylor Dayne - Tell It To My Heart

Faith No More - I'm Easy/Be Aggressive

Post Malone - Circles

The Source featuring Candi Staton - You Got The Love (Now Voyager Mix)

A song originally recorded by Candi Staton for a 1980s documentary about an obese man who was trying to lose weight. It's been played about with a few times with the 1997 remix being the definitive version.

Intrigued as to how many songs are left to drop out before the top 100 plus wildcards. Last year I think the cut-off was 24 points for the top 200, and here I've counted 73 songs from 25-36 points, but with a few more voters this year.
Backstreet Boys - Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely

Vanessa Williams - Save The Best For Last

Two of my votes out in the same fell swoop :(

SMTMOBL is one of two BSB songs that I asbloutely adore, with the other still to come.

STBFL is like the perfect 90s ballad. I wish people still made songs like that.

I lost 5 of my 30 early on and haven't lost any more since but it's nerve wracking with each update, not knowing how many more are still to come before we hit the top 100!

Plenty recent departures I'd have been happy to see in the top 100, not least You Got The Love and All The Lovers.

Think have lost 13/30 so far, think It's My Life is my highest casualty so far (gave it 22 points) but could be wrong!

too bad we lost the fantastic Tell it to my Heart (Taylor Dayne)!!!

Drake - Hotline Bling

Everything But The Girl - I Don't Want To Talk About It

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Ray Dalton - Can't Hold Us

Samantha Mumba - Always Come Back To Your Love

Everything But The Girl's cover version of the song made famous by Rod Stewart which reached number 1 in 1977 as part of a double A side. The song was originally recorded by Crazy Horse in 1971.

ELO - Don't Bring Me Down

EMF - Unbelievable

Dusty Springfield - I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself

This was one of four top 10 ten singles from ELO's 1979 album Discovery. Last year, it was voted as Buzzjack's fourth favourite ELO song in the quickie rate I hosted in the pre-2000s forum. Also here are two fine songs by EMF and Dusty Springield.

Katy Perry - Firework

Ultravox - Dancing With Tears In My Eyes

One of just three top 10 hits for Ultravox. They had quite a few near misses. Despite only reaching number 3, Katy Perry's Firework has sold more than a million copies in the UK.

Janet Jackson - All For You

Plan B - She Said

West End featuring Sybil - The Love I Lost

From his no.1 album, The Defamation Of Strickland Banks, this was Plan B's biggest hit. Janet Jackson loses her second song but she still has one left.

Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008

Status Quo - Rockin' All Over The World

The song by Status Quo that memorably kicked off the 1985 Live Aid concert is joined by Guru Josh's update of his single from 1990.

Jakatta - American Dream

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

John Miles - Music

29 of the 31 points for Music were from me. It's from a time when a six minute orchestral rock epic could actually reach the top 3. It's a shame to see it bow out, I suppose not many on here know it even though lyrically it's the perfect anthem for a music forum. Also here is a classic chillout tune from Jakatta.

Mine were the other two!
