January 26, 20214 yr Intrigued as to how many songs are left to drop out before the top 100 plus wildcards. Last year I think the cut-off was 24 points for the top 200, and here I've counted 73 songs from 25-36 points, but with a few more voters this year.
January 26, 20214 yr Backstreet Boys - Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely Vanessa Williams - Save The Best For Last Two of my votes out in the same fell swoop :( SMTMOBL is one of two BSB songs that I asbloutely adore, with the other still to come. STBFL is like the perfect 90s ballad. I wish people still made songs like that.
January 26, 20214 yr I lost 5 of my 30 early on and haven't lost any more since but it's nerve wracking with each update, not knowing how many more are still to come before we hit the top 100! Plenty recent departures I'd have been happy to see in the top 100, not least You Got The Love and All The Lovers.
January 27, 20214 yr Think have lost 13/30 so far, think It's My Life is my highest casualty so far (gave it 22 points) but could be wrong! Edited January 27, 20214 yr by chrissmith276

Last year, it was voted as Buzzjack's fourth favourite ELO song in the quickie rate I hosted in the pre-2000s forum. Also here are two fine songs by EMF and Dusty Springield.
January 27, 20214 yr Author 39 points Katy Perry - Firework Ultravox - Dancing With Tears In My Eyes PSQWUZ8a2Ho One of just three top 10 hits for Ultravox. They had quite a few near misses. Despite only reaching number 3, Katy Perry's Firework has sold more than a million copies in the UK.

January 27, 20214 yr Author How many points is the cut-off for Round 2? Or is it a secret? To build up suspense, it's a secret. :P
January 28, 20214 yr Author 41 points Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008 Status Quo - Rockin' All Over The World Yw_sJifUYgM The song by Status Quo that memorably kicked off the 1985 Live Aid concert is joined by Guru Josh's update of his single from 1990.
January 28, 20214 yr 31 points Jakatta - American Dream Lady Gaga - Born This Way John Miles - Music PF6mk2Sq4yY 29 of the 31 points for Music were from me. It's from a time when a six minute orchestral rock epic could actually reach the top 3. It's a shame to see it bow out, I suppose not many on here know it even though lyrically it's the perfect anthem for a music forum. Also here is a classic chillout tune from Jakatta. Mine were the other two!
