Abba - Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)

Bananarama - Love In The First Degree

David Guetta vs The Egg - Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)

Jennifer Lopez - Ain't It Funny

Queen - I Want To Break Free

Sugarhill Gang - Rapper's Delight

The second top 3 single from Queen's 1984 album The Works, with the album track being extended by a minute for the single release. Also here are one of the first hit singles from the hip hop genre,a disco classic from Abba and Bananarama's metaphor laden song. Jennifer Lopez loses the third of her three singles.

I've still got 17 in contention, similar to others I lost about 5 very early, then none for ages but Eton Rifles, What I Go to School For, Dancing with Tears in My Eyes and Rockin All Over the World all gone recently.

Scrap that, 15 left - I Want to Break Free and Rapper's Delight have both left the building

What a section this is. *.* Especially the songs from Abba and Queen. Also who would have thought at the time of LDLMG's release that David Guetta would go on to become one of the biggest producers over the next 10 years?!

The Bee Gees - Too Much Heaven

The Calling - Wherever You Will Go

Mason vs Princess Superstar - Perfect (Exceeder)

I haven't heard this one for a long time. I'd forgotten how good a song this is with the vocals and the orchestral arrangement. We also have the American group The Calling with the first of their four top 40 singles.

Luniz - I Got 5 On It

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Souvenir

This is my favourite song by OMD and I gave it 26 points. It was one of two singles by them to reach number 3 with Sailing On The Seven Seas matching that position ten years later. The Luniz song is from 1996 and was their only top 10 single.

Abba - Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)

Bananarama - Love In The First Degree

I'm proper shook that Love In The First Degree is SO DAMN LOW :o not just because 28 of those 42 points were from me but I genuinely thought it was one of the best loved cheesy pop songs of the 80s. 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' also got points from me (it's probably the guiltiest of all my guilty pleasures) and I'm surprised that's not a bit higher too.

Ughhhh at Luniz dropping out before the Top 100. In a genre that's usually not my cup of tea, I've loved I Got 5 On It since the week it was released.

I've got 23 still in contention, after losing 5 early, no more went for ages, but Queen and Luniz have gone now.

Will you tell us how many songs each member has left in the top 100 ?

Loving this thread btw

ATB's follow-up to his number 1 single, 9PM (Till I Come). He went on to have three more top 40 hits.

Alicia Keys - Fallin'

Avril Lavigne - Complicated

Zara Larsson - Lush Life

Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street

Carly Simon - You're So Vain

Zhu - Faded

With its iconic saxophone riff, Baker Street was a top 3 hit for Gerry Rafferty in 1978. From five years earlier, we have another well known song by Carly Simon. Her four top 10 hits were in 1972,1977,1982 and 1987 so the title of the last one, Coming Around Again, is quite appropriate. Three other female singers go out here.

You're So Vain  I wasn't expecting it to do this well so I'm pleased others voted for it
