76 = New Hope Club // Fixed = 231pts

Chart Run (12-09-14-19-22-23-22-23-29-29-31-28-30-35-40)

Peak = 09

Weeks on Chart = 15 Weeks

New Hope Club make another appearance here just outside the top 75 with another 4 songs of theirs still to come. Fixed was actually released in 2017, however found its way onto my chart when their album was released and managed to stack up an impressive 15 weeks on my chart with a peak of 9, spending 1 week in my top 10. I actually really like New Hope Club and think they’re output has been consistently strong over the last few years.

75 = Lady GaGa x Ariana Grande // Rain On Me = 242pts

Chart Run (14-12-13-12-15-23-25-27-28-23-26-32)

Peak = 12

Weeks on Chart = 12 Weeks

Kicking off the top 75 is the highest song for both Lady GaGa and Ariana Grande (yes I’m a bad gay). Rain on Me actually spent 12 weeks on my chart, however only peaked at 12 but did so twice. I do like the song, however I don’t think the chorus’ are the strongest and both have done far better songs. What I will say though is that its good to see GaGa back and actually having some success again – probably helped by the success of A Star is Born. Rain on Me did stick around a fair bit, but again with some other songs isn’t one I return to heavily.

At 74 we return to a little bit more dance with Dimension and Sharlene Hector with Saviour. The song spent 11 weeks on my chart and peaked at 8, spending 2 weeks in total in the top 10. Dimension scored a big hit on my chart last year with Desire and that managed 44th in 2019’s EOY Chart. Saviour has some great drops and builds well… a bop :D

At 73 is the highest entrant from Niall Horan this year with the second single for his album Heartbreak Weather; No Judgement. The song peaked at 7 in my chart and whilst I do like this song, it wasn’t as instant or as big for me as Nice to Meet Ya. It did manage to get 12 weeks on my chart though and managed a bit of a second wind when the album was actually released. A nice song, but one that I haven’t really returned to heavily since it exited my chart. Hopefully Niall carries on having success and releasing material as along with Harry has released the best tracks.

A bit more dance next with Ytram and Elderbrook with Fire… to be honest I wouldn’t have even probably listened to this, but on one of WhoOdyssey’s ‘Track of the Week’ threads I saw someone mention this was actually Martin Garrix so decided to give it a whirl and really liked it. It managed to peak at 5 for 2 weeks and spent 11 weeks on my chart.

The second appearance by the Vamps at 71 who made a top 5 debut with Chemicals. The song I don’t think is everyone’s cup of tea, however I think its quite good. Sure a bit of a departure from some of their other stuff but I still think it works… although overshadowed a bit by Married in Vegas and Better in my affections. Chemicals managed 4 weeks in my top 10, however did make a bit of a swift exit from my chart. Good, but my interest kind of went over to Better when that was released.

70 = David Guetta x MORTEN // Kill Me Slow = 254pts

Chart Run (15-16-14-14-16-19-23-24-22-22-27-33-35-40)

Peak = 14

Weeks on Chart = 14 Weeks

Kicking off the top 70 is the last and highest song by David Guetta on my EOY Chart with Kill Me Slow. As I said previous a lot of David Guetta’s output has been a little lacking (for me) over the last few years, however most of his collaborations with MORTEN have been great. Kill Me Slow actually didn’t get that high a peak at 14, however spent 10 weeks in my top 25 and didn’t want to go away. As with the other Guetta/ MORTEN tracks the build up and drops are great in this and in hindsight should've had at least 1 week in my top 10... I think my favourite overall of their collabs though it Make it to Heaven.

At 69 is the highest song for Kylie… in fact the only Kylie song that made it into my EOY Chart. I Love It didn’t seem to get any form of love when it was released, and I saw some comments on here saying it put them off the album. For me this was the most instant of the songs released pre-album and I didn’t really see the fuss with Magic or Say Something. This I thought was a bop and managed to climb into my top 10 and peaked at 7. It spent 10 weeks on my chart towards the end of the year and is still charting.

68 sees the first of 2 appearances from Mabel in the form of Boyfriend. I’m actually surprised that it managed to get this high in my EOY chart as whilst I don’t mind it, its far from her best. The song spent 12 weeks on my chart and managed to peak at 8 – its no Don’t Call Me Up, but its an alright pop song. Still to come from her is the collaboration with AJ Tracey West Ten, whilst Tick Tock did chart, it didn’t do enough to make my EOY chart.

MEDUZA scored 2 massive hits on my chart last year with Piece of My Heart and Lose Control. This year they’ve managed to get 2 songs into my EOY chart too, the first being Paradise. This song is actually still charting and got a bit of a second wind at the start of this year. The song peaked at 6 and managed 4 weeks in my top 10 – its good to see this managed to be a success officially after Born to Love was a bit of a miss. Here though, Born to Love to still to come as it managed to clock up a fair amount of weeks on my chart.

Weeks on Chart = 13 Weeks (In 2020)

66 sees the first and only appearance by Lauv this year after managing to score a but hit last year on my chart with I’m So Tired. Mean it was oddly on its way out of my chart towards the end of 2019, however in the new year it clicked a lot with me and saw it climb week on week to reach a peak of 7. The song stayed around my chart for 13 weeks in total in 2020 and is probably my favourite Lauv song (alongside Feelings and I’m So Tired). I’ll be honest I didn’t really get into Lauv’s album, but as an artist I do find him interesting.

At 65 is Looking for me by Paul Woolfird, Diplo and Kareen Lomax, tis is an odd one for me as whilst I do like the song I do think there are a lot more better dance songs around. However this is one of the few dance songs which actually crossed over and became a hit which sort of surprised me. It only managed a peak of 10 and whilst it did spend 14 weeks on my chart I always found myself wanting to like it more than I actually did. Its still a good song though and the vocal is great.

At 64 is the first appearance from HRVY who has a number of songs still to come on my EOY chart. This song with R3HAB and Astrid S was released towards the end of 2020 and managed to climb to reach a top 5 peak, in total its spend 9 weeks on my chart and is still charting. Am I the Only One is one of many R3HAB songs released throughout 2020 in fact he seemed to have a new song out every other week, this is the first of 3 songs to feature him that managed to reach my EOY chart – the others Be Okay and Let Me Down Slow. This song is alight and did climb over the weeks, but has got a little bit old now.

Rain on Me so low down :o still so much love for it :wub:

I Love It remains one of my least favourites from DISCO, oops :( it sounds a lot better when listening to the album in full, but still not as amazing as everything else on there.

Good to see more of The Vamps, New Hope Club and HRVY here, and yay for Paradise and Mean It :wub:

At 63 is a return to dance with Last Day in Paradise. This was a song that appeared in i-tuned top 10 and after listening to it debuted in my chart and managed to climb all the way to 2. It spent 11 weeks in the top 40 including 5 weeks in the top 10. I guess the song is basic in dance terms, but very catchy and got in my head.

In 2018 EOY chart, 5SOS managed to reach Number 2 with Youngblood, last year they had a couple of hits chart, this year just 1 of their songs manages to make my EOY Chart. No Shame spent 14 weeks on total on my chart and managed a peak of 4, spending 3 weeks in my top 10. I would say I was never really a 5SOS fan until Youngblood and since then I’ve liked quite a lot of their output. No Shame isn’t as good as say Youngblood, or Want You Back however it is incredibly catchy -hopefully they’ll release more in 2021.
