There will not be a tour edition of Disco this year so instead I think a new updated version will be chucked out even if it's just Infinite Disco DVD performsnce added and maybe 2 songs from that performance on CD like Slow/love to love you baby

Do people really think Disco will sell less than Kylie’s Christmas, Golden and Step Back In Time? No just no.

We’re 3 singles and a buzz track in to the album so far, there is no tour and the rumoured repackage is just that at the moment - a rumour.

She’s done every major TV show in the UK, there are no festivals, Gay Prides’s etc happening this year so all greatly reduces her promotion opportunities and post album singles always struggle too.

I think it will outsell Golden and KC but not by a huge amount. To sell 80,000 extra this year it would need to sell on average 1,500+ a week - it’s struggling to achieve that figure now with a new single out, A list at Radio 2, and the CD being sold for £4.99.

I’d love to see it shift another 100,000 but at the moment I’m not sure it will be able to double it’s current sales with the current situation and lack of knowing what’s next, I guess we’ll see ;)

Sales are hard to predict now more than ever. I expected Step Back in Time to be on slightly higher sales than it is and at this point expected that it would have higher sales than Kylie Christmas and Golden but to date it has fallen short.

That said, this time next year I expect that Golden, Kylie Christmas, Step Back in Time and Disco to be all on very similar sales.

Yes, her sales from KC onwards have been very similar - Queen of consistency!

She hasn't done

Strictly

The Voice

Britain's Got Talent

Royal Variety

Good Morning Britain

Piers Real Life Stories - unlikely but....

The One Show - Easily doable again

TV specials?

X-factor if it comes back

Loose Women

Lots of radio she can keep doing

I am sure she is just had a little break and will continue to sell and stream ok this year on the back of stuff.

All could depend on what opens up Covid wise

Really unsure tbh.

40,000 - average 753 sales a week

60,000 - average 1,132 sales a week

80,000 - average 1,509 sales a week

40k should be achievable but anything over that really depends on promo, singles etc., - the fact that a tour is looking evermore unlikely at this point will harm it

Yep, this is how I've been viewing it. I went for 40k+ but obviously would love more. If it ended up doing 60k it would probably achieve a Top 100 year end position for the second year running, something Kylie's not achieved since X did it in 2007/8.

The Disco era will likely be over by the time Strictly and Royal Variety come back on, yes she could get on The One Show again however it’s a show literally everyone will be clambering to get on due to lockdown/lack of promo opportunities so they will have their pick of the bunch rather than repeating guests - same for all the other shows too, promo opportunities are minimal and the acts are all lining up for a shot.

Loose Women (!!) and GMB would probably give her 50 sales max - hardly the height of promo.

Golden era was an 18 month campaign

Obviously Disco hasn't got a tour to extend it but still even a 12 month campaign would take her to Nov 2021 and with maybe a re issue and a few new songs or collabs with Jessie Ware , Robbie etc plenty more can come from this.

She is selling vinyl singles at 9.99 double the price of the album.

I don't think Disco is finished yet

I dont think its finished at all, I'm hoping 2 more singles or 1 plus a new 1 or possibly 2 from a new edition. If no new edition there should be at least 2 more singles to come and probably in april and june.

If some big releases get pushed back to quarter 3 or 4 then she could do OK.

Surely there is a summer bop to be released. Last Chance?

Not ‘Last Chance’ please! ‘Dance Floor Darling’ or ‘Miss A Thing’.

‘Last Chance’ is one of my faves although there are so many good songs on the album I’d be happy with most as singles

Last chance, especially the chorus is catchy and once you hear it, it stays in your head very easily, always a good thing in a song picked for a single.
