February 8, 20214 yr I'm just going to do a top 20 as I felt stretching it to a full top 25 was starting to include a few songs that I really don't care much about at all. (I've also decided to vote based on the original of 'Blue Monday' because all of its sales are combined anyway, I don't think I specifically know the 88 version but it'd feel wrong to exclude it from my votes especially with how much I was scraping for the last few positions) +25 Move Your Feet +24 Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) +23 Hey Boy Hey Girl +22 Blue Monday +21 The Hills +20 Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough +19 Doctor Pressure +18 Take Me Out +17 American Idiot +16 Castles In The Sky +15 Physical +14 No Scrubs +13 Return To Innocence +12 Budapest +11 Voulez-Vous +10 Whatever +9 Mad World +8 Kickstarts +7 Who Do You Love Now? February 8, 20214 yr Author Blue Monday is an interesting one. It's one of my favourite songs but I didn't vote for it in the first round as I don't like the 88 remix. It did really well in the first round so I'm assuming people are voting for the 1983 original. As you say, the sales in 1988 would have included the original if that was also available in the shops so I suppose it's alright for this poll to be based on that version. On that basis, I gave it 25 points in my own semi-final vote. I will still accept any overnight votes. Edited February 8, 20214 yr by King Rollo
February 8, 20214 yr Interesting... I didn't realise it was a later remix that had reached #3. So I did indeed cast my vote on the assumption we were voting for the original
February 8, 20214 yr After receiving so many votes here i checked out the new order track, was quite underwhelmed by it.

If we're basing it on the original then I'll definitely be voting for it in the final, I also just don't care anywhere near as much for the 88 version. After receiving so many votes here i checked out the new order track, was quite underwhelmed by it. Obviously I can't say what it's like to hear it for the first time in 2021 but it's an incredibly important track in the history of electronic music.
February 8, 20214 yr Author VOTING IS NOW CLOSED It was a very competitive semi-final. Thanks to all who voted. The results will start this evening.
February 8, 20214 yr I counted 31 different songs getting at least one voter's +25 points, so at least six of those will miss out!
