Suburban Legends was probs my most hyped based on title but whilst being good, it’s not amazing. It’s like someone mashed up the archer/labyrinth/mastermind (mostly the latter) into one song for something that sounds like it should’ve been left in the midnights vault

 

Is It Over Now? :cheeseblock: oh yes this is a slay!! And actually sounds like it completely fits 1989! Out of the woods vibes (obvs not as good but not much is!)

have to be honest, 4/5 of the vault songs are very just... meh for me. dont get me wrong theyre great, but notihng too special. hope they grow on me though! time to start the regular album now!

Was kinda hoping it was gonna be 5 pop masterpieces, but I’m happy enough.

 

Onto the main album now! Welcome to New York sounds slightly off (not botched but can tell it’s different) but it’s not an essential one for me, so I’m not too bothered

Blank Space sounds very good! Again you can tell it’s a re-recording but there was def potential for it to sound karaoke-like which it doesn’t thankfully!

Wtny is noticeable in its differences, but not in a bad way. Blank space is less noticeable and sounds rlly good!

I was honestly expecting worse for Style after reading the slaughterings it got over the past few hours 😂 yeah the intro does sound slightly off (and so do a couple of production beats here and there), but it’s certainly not a WANEGBT-style butchering

Shake it off remains a bop. And the bridge is still iconic!

As one of the only Swifties that has it in their top 5 Taylor songs, Shake It Off I was beyond worried about the production, wasn’t worried about the vocals.

 

They NAILED the production, it sounds identical. The vocals are low-key giving live version or something compared to the original though, it’s just not hitting the same on first listen. I’m sure I’ll get used to it though, esp cos the production is so good!

 

Those noises in the bridge also feel way louder argh?!
