After the successful first run of the AF Idol spin-off last year featuring artists chosen by the Inner Circle and management, we're opening this one up to YOU - eight artists will take part in eight rounds hoping to be crowned the AF Idol Spin-Off 2.0 winner, and you'll get a widget too, just like Jay did last year after winning with Carly Rae Jepsen! Firstly though, here is a re-cap of some guidelines and clarifications. Please read these carefully! - This is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis, which is why we gave you advance notice. - You must confirm with the names of TWO ARTISTS - one as your top choice and one as your reserve, just in case we have a clash. - The list of themes is below. We suggest that you plan ahead for your two possible artists to make sure you have songs to fit every theme, as we're not bending the definitions later down the line. We recommend your artist has a minimum of two options per round, just to be safe, though three would be ideal. - None of the Inner Circle or management are taking part this time. - AF mods - as you guys take part more heavily in the normal AF Idol, we want to open this up to more of the general Buzzjack population. Therefore, only a maximum of 2 AF mods will be allowed to take part - the first two to confirm, as long as you're within the first eight confirmations. If no AF mods are within the first eight, no places are reserved and we'll have eight non-AF mods taking part. - Ineligible artists will be posted below. If they're on this list, they're not allowed. - All artists will take part in all rounds - there will be no eliminations and the winner will be decided by average votes received, with the Inner Circle counting down results at the end of all eight rounds. - When you plan out, please remember that all singles must be fully released and promoted - no "radio single in Italy" kinda things. An "era" includes re-issues - they are not separate eras. THEMES 1. Free choice 2. First OR last single from an era (you will have the choice of either the first or last single released from any album era by your artist) 3. Free album track choice 4. Free choice 5. Uptempo album track 6. Free choice 7. Should've been a single 8. Very this :cry: This is one of the few things I really enjoy entering and listening through on the site nowadays... 8 seems like such a small number - I'm sure 12 or so would work just as well ! x
